Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I can't just leave #10 hanging like that, so I shall post before I head out for another day of Way Too Much To Do.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha. The funny thing about the stompy making new threads when she's sleepy is that she nearly posts in the old one because of her mad stompy rights without noticing it's closed. But all is well, and I am on East Coast time this morning.

Oh, I am so sad about Benoit Mandelbrot! My whole internet persona is because of him! I chose the name back when I thought the internet was going to be all geeks and I expected everyone to get my references. Oops. Little could I foresee the advent of twitter.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oooh! Good name!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Wow, new threads are kind of weird now. They're so rare.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hello new thread!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Thanks for that costume link, Kat.

Went to bed early last night with a splitting headache. Headaches used to be rare with me but they are becoming more frequent and severe. Probably peanuts compared to what some people here suffer, so I should be grateful.

I've got some bad ergonomics going on which is causing increased RSI pain and might be contributing to headaches. I have to figure out how to fix that.

There's a free life drawing session today and I'm hoping to borrow the car to get to it. While it's not all that far away by LA standards, the transfer from Metro Rail to bus looks hard to manage and esp hard to manage in only 9 min.

Well, good news and bad news about the dogs new meds.

They won't be NEARLY as expensive as at the vet because, apparently, the vet's "dispensing fee" DOUBLES the price.

Seriously? No.

I like that this vet does the bloods while I wait so, as long as I'm in the area I'll likely keep going there. And I get that there is going to be a fee... but DOUBLE?!? Nuh uh. Not cool.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Does anyone have the CI/ATK chicken stock recipe where you brown chicken pieces and bones and an onion first? I lent my book out and have needed it like 10x in the past week.
