Benedryl: and now the rain and itchies are keeping me awake. Very mild outside, 70 degrees. And it's pouring. Hope there's a rain plan for work tomorrow.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy Hanukkah!
Just puttering around on tinternet when I should be sleeping...
Happy Hanukkah to everyone who celebrates!
No-more-seizures~ma to Mr. Peabody.
Stay warm Seska!
I'ma wander over to F2F again to get some suggestions on good meet up places for a mini F2F in SF this Sunday. (HOMG it's this Sunday!)
Happy Hanukkah to them that celebrates!
~ma for Mr. Peabody. Ginger, as the human to a dog with seizures, if the vet recommends phenobarbital, you might want to get a second opinion from a neurologist. Our vet went straight to phenobarb, but the specialist recommended potassium bromide, which is much less toxic to other internal organs, and has control Sassy's seizures completely. Dog seizures track people seizures pretty closely, and there's a lot of stuff out there that I think regular vets don't get around to reading.
IOW, oh, yes - so hard to watch.
Poor Mr. Peabody; much ~ma headed his way.
Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it!!!
Seska, the claim of the oldest pub is all we would need to get TCG to go to Nottingham, even if he wasn't already happy to meet more buffistas. I'll let you know when the trip gets closer.
Congrats, beth!
Did Erin report on her new job?
Exhausting, stressy (from coming in so late in the year), and awesome, from what I recall.
Our Christmukkah tree is up (The Girl built it from flat-packed, swearing the whole time). Uni is closed as it's under about a foot of snow, so we might get to do Hannukah candles at sunset. Which will be lovely. Have a great Hannukah, all who celebrate!
Hannukah is The Girl's favourite holiday, too, Shir. I like the 'light in the darkness' stuff. We usually have a party (and she tells an odd version of the Hannukah story featuring elephants), but we don't know enough people up here to make up party numbers. Next year! We have donuts but no latkes - too messy if it's just the two of us. We save presents for Christmas. It gets too complicated otherwise!
sj, we can certainly arrange a trip to the dubiously-titled oldest pub in Britain! It'll be great to meet you and TCG.
Where in the West Midlands did you go, Spidra? Birmingham? We pop over there quite a lot. Good shopping and some old fandom friends.
Happy first night of Hannukah, everyone! I have no fried goodies at all because Hannukah is officially WAY TOO EARLY this year and I wasn't ready. Maybe this weekend.
You'd think raising a secular Jewish family in Brooklyn would be pretty straightforward, but DH and I are still pretty uncertain on how to do it "right." Fortunately, Hannukah is pretty secular already (if you go with the historical version and not the "miracle of the oil" version, anyway) and hey, presents!
Maybe if I'm feeling really ambitious I'll try to replace our copy of Herschel and the Hannukah Goblins which met an untimely death during Dylan's "tearing up books that scare me" phase last year.
