Yay jobs! I have indeed make guac (modified, with salsa and extra tomatoes) and it is reasonably nom.
Also convinced the mom to go to National Cathedral for their creche's from around the world exhibit. Driving there and back was miserable, but i got to stomp around (ok, tiptoe, reall) a really gorgeous building and peer unsupervised into lots of nooks and crannies while mom dithered. it was an acceptable afternoon. i shall strive to keep my mouth shut tomorrow and survive. She means well...and there is no changing habits at this point, so best to not face issues head on.
Vortex- bummer, but i don't really expect rescue. Especially on short notice :) Next time i'm in town for more than 2 days we'll get together and imbibe heavily.
YAY BETH!! I'm so excited for you!!!
hooray Beth!
veeery late to the game, but congratulations Nilly & KHusband and yay PiBaby!
ETA - Happy birthdays to Em and Sarah!
I made and ate dinner, made tuna salad for lunch, emptied the dishwasher, put new covers on my director chairs, and scooped the cat pans. That means I can walk the dog, shower, and go to bed now, right?
We are a nerdly house. I just read Emeline a Terry Pratchett book for her bedtime story because she was sick of Neil Gaiman.
