This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Eye~ma, smonster.

BTW, any particular reason why Buffistas started (or started talking about) giving blood in the past few months? Not that I'm against it or anything, I'm just wondering.

ION: The sociology professor who established the faculty of social sciences in the university I study in passed away today. Didn't study with him (he was active till his last day), but studied his articles and ideas. I'm sadder than I thought I'll be.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dear Poor Comcast Dude -

You don't need to know my cable modem to help me set up my log-in and reset my password. And I assure you that I have been paying for internet and phone service since September of last year.

You effing idiot.

Aimee

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm thinking of getting a dressmaker to make something for me. Don't know where I'd find a pattern, though.

Try searching eBay.

I'm sadder than I thought I'll be.

I'm sorry for your loss, even if it is not a close personal one.

I'm remembering bonny saying it was going to be her big birthday adventure, because it was something she knew was important to do, yet she was really scared. That's how it became a topic of conversation.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for most likely date!

Much ~ma for your eyes, smonster.

I know I am skippy girl, but could someone give me a Drew update?

I've been missing Bitches so much. Working like crazy trying to get my work/home/life in some kind of order. Making progress on the office front anyway due to having a insanely orderly employee that took it upon himself to find a place for everything and then put stuff in its place while I was up north for the summer. So cool. Neat and orderly office pictures here [link] Having some order in my life has upped the sanity factor.

Nah, it's not really my loss. It's a loss to the discipline I study, and to my university. So I feel it, in a way - but it's not mine.

could someone give me a Drew update?

I would appreciate one too, if Pix will have the time and the energy to post.

I haven't heard anything since Drew got the PIC line put in. They plan on keeping him a few more days, and his numbers are improving.

Also, nobody makes delivered flower bouquets that are appropriate for ND.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm thinking of getting a dressmaker to make something for me. Don't know where I'd find a pattern, though.

I'm not at all crafty but I think you can find old patterns pretty easily on ebay. And, not to be all OFFBEAT BRIDE OFFBEAT BRIDE, but it is a really great source of information for anything interesting wedding related. There seem to be a ton of UK brides on the boards there too and if there isn't a thread for finding vintage patterns already, it's easy to make one.

I could not fall asleep last night due to wedding monkeys in my head. I can't be this way until December! I know it's partially a way to sublimate work stress but still. I can't waste precious sleep time obsessing over how I should have made a Wedding (Microsoft) Project schedule months ago and now it would be too hard to organize because so many tasks are partially completed and gah! It cracks me up though so there's that. And we are really really lucky we have no big family or friend dramas to contend with.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Snerk. Surely someone is fashioning bouquets from cable and pleather? We should check Etsy.

I hope we get an update soon on ND. And that it's a good one.

I think the ointment is helping wih the itching, so I'm going to keep using it for the time being.

Vintage patterns - check the Dress a Day blog, from our v. own erinaceous (hope that's the right Erin). Every pattern she posts, she posts where she got it from. I'm pretty sure she talks about UK suppliers, too.

Okay, time to synthesize some HUD regs! My meeting went well, I may talk more about that later.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is there a way to affix fangs to a Get Well Bear?

The Get Well Bear could be easily upgraded to Watchmen Bear with a little red paint.
