Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

It's a total PITA and involves filling out a ton of paperwork and going in front of a judge (depending on the state), but it's not difficult--just tedious.

Really? It's incredibly easy in the UK. When The Girl and I changed our names, we did most of it on the internet. Enjoy your new name, Zenkitty!

Name changing in families is interesting. It's been really nice for The Girl and I to have my family's original name back.

Shir, the TED party invite is amazing! No way that you can go? Continuing congrats on the Hollaback interest! The Girl says there's a lot of discussion happening about the state of feminism in Israel. It's great that you're a big part of that.

Congrats on the job, Erin! Sounds fantastic.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

No way that you can go?

Eh, nope. But I think it's a generic invitation to all of those who were attended Israeli TEDx conventions.

Oh, and something you'd love to hear - we'll be a part of emancipatory research.

Ooh, wonderful! What research?

Don't know yet. One researchers is coming from the field of criminology and internet. The other is researching gender and criminology. Both are excellent women.

Whatever we'll decide, it'll be exciting. And good. We're lacking so much data.

brillig

6 AM in Utah, I am at work. Three inches of snow out there and the roads are kind of plowed. Why, no, I did not get here in time, but I'm here.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Connie, I'm sorry you have to be to work so early on a Sunday, but I'm glad you got there safely.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I settled for drunkish texting. Nothing embarassing.

Connie, yikes. What WindSparrow said.

My coffee is distressingly weak this morning. And I only have my own impatience to blame.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Connie, I'm glad you got to work safely.

We're headed home from Mom's today. I have been messaging my cousin back and forth for 2 daysh now trying to find a time to get together before we go, and she still has not comitted to a time. So frustrating.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I have been pondering changing my name back to my maiden name for 10 years but have not done anything about it because of the hassle.

I have a sudden desire to go to Knott's.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My in-law's stopped by this morning on their way out of town. I was still in bed, and precoffeed. Yawn! But I needed to get up, anyway.

Shir, did you see that video of the NYC girl that hauled the guy that was exposing himself on the subway to jail? Here's the link to a follow-up, and I thought it'd be of interest to Hollaback Israel readers: [link]
