You know the whole drama of my cousin and his wife being diagnosed with terminal cancer within a month of each other and the granddaughter who ended up doing all the care and arrangements, including my cousin's funeral less than two weeks ago? Her stepfather (husband of my cousin's wife's daughter) died yesterday. He had a bypass last February, but he was doing fine and still working as a plumber. I saw him several times at the hospice and then at the funeral, and he seemed great. I suspect the same granddaughter will end up making the arrangements, since her mother is very upset and not really an arranging sort of person.
I think god is making bar bets with the devil again.
Jesus, that's awful, Ginger.
Oh my, Ginger. A massive amount of strength wishes for her.
wishing her what she needs , Ginger
Oh, Ginger, my heart goes out to her. What a lot to handle.
Taz is home. After the ultrasound, the vet says he isn't sure what is the best course of action. But he's OK for now.
also, Ginger, what an awful turn of affairs. My thoughts go out to your family.
Not knowing what to do is rough, Nora. Glad Taz is OK at present, anyway.
Jesus, Ginger, what a horrible situation. I really feel for her.
I made some yummy pasta tonight; nothing special, but it tasted really good. And I already have the kitchen cleaned up.
Had an interview today at the same place I interviewed at for a Court Advocate position. They had an opening for a Hotline Advocate, which I have tons of exp. in, so I asked to be considered Wed., and they called me Thursday.
This is at a DV shelter, btw. They said they remembered me, and had been very impressed, but the other candidate had more experience, which is what I figured. I feel I interviewed well, and they said they'd be calling with a decision the week after next.
So, keep you fingerses crossed for me, please?
