Note to self: religion freaky.

Buffy ,'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Steph, another alternative would be to put the batter into two 8" pans.

Catching up after a loooong time away - so glad to be back!

Not much to say, but ....

Seska, one advantage to taking a bat to uni people would be to give them the experience of dealing with a system that doesn't accommodate the able-bodied.

Barb, perhaps the crazy lady is going through a bad bit of writer's block and is taking it out on someone convenient (and maybe you're not the only one - could she be harassing other people?).

And the discussion of friendship and relationships was interesting.

eta: and Daniel Radcliffe has grown up nicely. Aims, now that Wills is engaged, perhaps you could focus on Daniel.

Tep left out the obvious "The Boy likes carrot(cake)s" aside.

Ahahaha!!! I was so focused on not screwing up the cake that I totally missed it!

Cake is still baking -- at 35 minutes it was lightly brown and had risen appropriately, but the middle was still jiggly. Smells great, though.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Spicy brains and overt geekery (especially old, old, old-school geekery like Lehrer fannishness) push my buttons regardless of the person's age (mostly regardless; I'm pretty sure that anyone younger than Radcliffe or old enough to remind me of my grandfather at the end of his life would be a no-go, no matter how spicy and geeky).

Seriously, I never saw Radcliffe as anything but a sweet kid and never felt anything but a motherly, "Such a nice boy!" until that clip. It was the having stayed up all night to memorize it and, when he lost his place, having to go all the way back to the beginning of the verse to pick up the thread again that did it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I was going to post this in Movies, but it's really about double entendres, so I think it's for Bitches. Read the sweet interview with Elizabeth Banks, and then enjoy the rather hilarious comments: [link]

I was going to make 2 layers and frost it as a layer cake. But we're taking the cake over to Tim's dad's house tonight, and we don't actually own a cake carrier (to my surprise). So to avoid trauma in transporting the cake, I went with the big flat pan.

Just checked it again (bake-and-post!), and I think it really will end up taking double the amount of time. Gluten-free baking is sometimes wonky like that.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

thanks for continued Taz~ma. Tom brought him to get an ultrasound in Metarie, since our vet couldn't do one until Tuesday. He dropped him off and is attempting to do some work before heading back.

Once blockage occurs, shit goes south real fast, and I'd rather not wait the weekend before knowing what the status of stuff in there is.

Breaking cake news: cake is finished baking! Now cooling and awaiting cream cheese frosting.

Later there will be Indian food or sushi for dinner (birthday boy's choice). I confess I'm hoping he'll pick sushi. The sushi place in our neighborhood is having a 50% off sushi special all month. Nom. But I love Indian, too, so there really is no bad there.

Much, much Taz~ma, and lots of ~ma to you and Tom and the vet as well.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Tazma, Nora.

Radcliffe seems like a perfectly charming fellow, but not physically appealling. He sort of looks like a male Katy Perry.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Bev, no, not just you! I find I like looking at younger people with an appreciation of their beauty but no sexual interest, while it's more often a more mature, and aesthetically less "perfect", form that interests me sexually.

Sits in Beverly and Zenkitty's corner.
