Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Plei or any other Seattle-istas, do you know anything about Tractor Tavern? Is it a decent place to catch a show?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So sorry for your loss, DCJ.

I haven't been to that venue in about 10 years, so I can't give you a relevant answer. I've been told it's decent.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Daniel, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Beverly, we went to another vineyard today, then drove into Provincetown, and now we are taking our tine headed home. It's about a 3 hour drive, but we'll probably stop along the way.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

sj, you're married!

Daniel, condolences to your mom, Ray's family

Yes, what Bev said. I am glad that your mom and Ray had some lovely time in each other's lives and I am sorry for her loss.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I set up my new electric keyboard! (Birthday present from parents.) I think I need to rearrange my furniture to make room for it. Also, after setting it up, I'm kind of too tired to really learn how to use it. I played a few songs to get the feel of it, but even though I've played piano since I was in first grade or so, I've never really played a keyboard before, so there are all these new buttons and features to figure out. Also, good thing recycling day is tomorrow, because this thing has a ton of packaging.
