Oh, and in miraculous news, Niki (surrogate mom) has gone home from the hospice/hospital/death watch!!! She is able to take a few steps under her own steam and is working to get strong enough to move to CA. Her doctors are struck dumb.
I am so proud of her and hopeful for at least a while of happiness for her before we revisit her mortality.
bonny, that is SUCH great news! And I know you had a very hard time with your pneumonia earlier, and were willing for it all to end (if I'm remembering a post correctly). But how wonderful for you to have gotten better, so that you could see Niki get better!
And oh, newlyweds. My heart runs over with joy for you. Today and always.
This is clearly Good News Day. My own, less momentous contribution: Ryan stood up by himself today, with no support. Just straight up from the floor onto his two hind legs. We're very proud.
Oh, good for Ryan! That's good news for sure!
Yay Niki! bonny, I'm so happy for you. You two have been on my thoughts, a lot.
Congrats, Ryan!
Yay, sj!
And a lot of yays! and ~mas to however need them, because I skipped over 200 posts, to share the next site with you: [link] Mind the haikus section.
HUGE congrats to the Tea Cups! It sounds like you had a wonderful day. May all your days together be just as wonderful.
Hil, did I work out from your earlier post that it's your birthday today? If so, have a great one!
I am in Geneva. The airport staff were overwhelmingly lovely. I'm meeting some of The Girl's friends today (she was at school here for a couple of years). And her parents are taking us out for lunch. Which I'm freakily fine with. Happy Saturday, all.
Just straight up from the floor onto his two hind legs.
Wait. He has other legs? He is a CINCH for track & field!
What a lovely way to wrap up Friday, all that good news.
Dear Ryan,
Congratulations on standing up. I'm sure you do it with style.
Love,
me
P.S. Next week when you want the car keys, try "Dad, there's a new book on echidnas at the library I wanted to check out."

The flaw in this plan would be assuming I hadn't already got hold of it for myself. And the paucity of his English vocabulary, but mostly the first thing.
