Remember that fab cheesecake I went on about? I sent a note to Maggiano's, and they replied with:
So glad to hear you enjoyed the Pumpkin Cheesecake...it is one of my favorites, too! All we can share with regard to how the cheesecake is made is that the crust is a gingersnap crust and the pie topping is a cinnamon whipped cream with pecan praline crumbles on top. Yum!
Yum indeed!
Someone tell me to let go of the fact that my supposed BFF whose wedding I was in last month, has not called to wish me well. Maybe she'll call tomorrow, but I plan on shutting my phone off.
I'm sure she's thinking of you but she figures you two want to be alone.
sj, she might not want to bother you. So let it go. you and TCG are the important people today and tomorrow.
Javachik, there is probably a lot more to go in my closet. there are a few things I love, but may never wear again. I figure they have 6 more months to go.
Let it go, sj. Tonight and tomorrow and the next few days are all about letting go of the bad stuff, troubling stuff, gnawing stuff. You don't need her wishes (and possibly she's not calling on purpose so as not to intrude), or anyone else's, even ours (though we're all squeeing with joy for you anyway). These few days are about you and TCH and this joyful step you are taking together into the rest of your lives.
Thanks. There is a larger pattern working here where I only seem to get calls when the conversation starts with "I need...", but I can't change her and should let it go.
She doesn't want to bother you tonight. (I adore your W&P but I would never in a million years call tonight.) You'll hear from her after the weekend.
I didn't really want her to call tonight, but earlier this week would have been nice.
Congrats, sj! Enjoy your elopement, and I agree that you should try to let go of the friend thing if you can. You can has husband tomorrow! Yay!
Omnis, sounds a lot like the pumpkin pie I make for turkey day--pumpkin with a pecan gingersnap crust. Nom nom nom.
