You jest, but it's almost true. My bosses thought I was a bit silly for missing work on 7/7. The tube station down the road from me had been blown up, but I was apparently meant to be finding British blitz spirit and walking the twelve miles to the office.

If the British start referring to matters as "A spot of bother", then I expect to see paratroopers and berserkers in kilts turning up in odd places.

I'm winding down from an extended weekend that included co-op work, making dinner at my parents, running errands after 8pm, and then (o so very grateful for this) visiting my friends, old neighborhood, and former co-workers at ECN. I seem to have left my motivation somewhere on I95 and nearly screwed up a forgotten playdate, but I am still grinning with how fun it was. Also, ECN? Still both emo and craxy according to my coworkers, who are neither.

oohmommy... I defrosted some veggie stew and it was almost as yummy as when I froze it but I felt like it needed some cream but all I have is 2% so I tried a tablespoon of bleu cheese dressing and wow! It is scrumptious.
