amyth, much strength to all of you right now, and I'm sorry.
'Shells'
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Amazon has gift suggestion lists organized by family member -- "Mom," "Dad," "Wife/Girlfriend," "Husband/Boyfriend," and so on. I just went through them, and I realized that the list that has the most stuff that I would actually be happy to get is the "Grandma" list. Though I can't figure out why the Dangerous Book for Boys is on that one. And I think Errol Flynn might be surprised to find Robin Hood classified as a "Chick Flick" in the "Wife/Girlfriend" section.
Oh, amyth, how hard.
electric keyboard
Yay! Weighted keys are important. But even more important is touch sensitivity. The cheapest electric keyboards lack this, and it really matters to your playing because you can't play dynamics without touch sensitivity.
Windsparrow, thank goodness for you! You are such an amazing person.
I had something else I wanted to respond to but have lost it and will need to scroll back. My short term memory is completely shot from my three days of suicide prevention seminars. (About which I will tell you more later, but see above re: brane, cannot.) I was watching the ball game with the SO and I missed a key play. "What happened?" I inquired. "It looked me away!"
He was all, uh, well, the ball the player looked him away. Hee. It was funny because I knew it was wrong but couldn't figure out how. And then I was like, "It's like ataxia, man." But of course I meant "aphasia."
So yeah. I'm tired. Lemme see what else I meant to talk about.
Yeah, I got nothing. I have no idea. I even had it in my head where I could fake quote it like "electric keyboard" so I didn't have to go back and cut and paste, but there's nothing, y'all. Time to try to sleep again, methinks.
Liese, you sound emotionally and physically exhausted. I hope you get some high quality rest. You are amazing for taking so much time and effort for suicide prevention - will you be incorporating this in your regular work (sorry, I can't recall what you do) or are you planning on volunteering for a hotline or some such?
Windsparrow, thank goodness for you! You are such an amazing person.
I'm not sure what you are referring to here, but I'll take all the compliments I can get. Thanks!
Because she was UK based never heard of Claire Rayner. But she sounds like she was an amazing woman, and chose great last words. [link] "Tell David Cameron that if he screws up my beloved NHS, I'll come back and haunt him". I have a suspicion my last words will be "Oh shit, what a stupid way to ...".
Thanks for that, Typo Boy.
Truckloads of ~ma to you, amyth, and to your family.
Claire Rayner was an absolute legend of a woman.
Yes, I should be in bed. But being the geek I am, I open the copypastecharacter dot com page that was linked here awhile back, and start copying symbols, and adding a dot com and seeing if there is a website. Seems ⁂ has a funny single page site. [link]
