You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm debating if one should use "German reunification" or "German unification" or "German unity" with regarding to 1990 (wiedervereinigung). Hivemind?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I would think reunification. As there was a time they were together. And then apart, and then back together. But I am far from expert on this.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I went with "unity". "Reunification" is more accurate translation, but the Germans seem to prefer "unification" or "unity". And since the official day translates into "unity", I might be tiny bit historically wrong, but at least I won't offend anyone during it.

Our wings are not tired.

MM on YouTube. Looking forward to it.

Ginger, yay for having your castle back soon. I think you should run around nekkid to celebrate.

It blows my mind that guests at a wedding think the food choice is all about them. I make a real effort to prepare food for guests in my home that they would enjoy. My wedding, all about the preference of the bride and groom. I am fortunate to have better quality friends and family because I never get anything other than good-natured joking about the differences in our food preferences.

Mmmm, onion pie. Something that would land me in the hospital, but my loved ones would really enjoy that. Marked, as are so many Jessica food posts.

Jars, ~ma for your friend. It is so hard to be far away and unable to hold hands.

smonster, try and be gentle with yourself. Transitions are hard. It will come together. I moved last April and still have unpacked boxes in my kitchen and garage. I know about not getting to the list. But it will happen.

Barb, I love hearing about interviews getting repetitive! Nice graphic from Lewis.

Facebook scrabble? I still haven't managed to get into Facebook on any real level, but I am sure my son would love kicking my butt in scrabble in Facebook as much as he does IRL.

Shir, I think you should implement Victor's rules. If comments are abusive, edit away, with clear indication they have been edited for being assholes.

Spidra, the ukulele clip was really fun. It also served to remind me to dowload the CD for my step-father's birthday. He loved it. Mom is 89 and SDad is 74 now. They met singing in a community chorus about 25 years ago. Singing together is something they still do all the time and your CD was a perfect choice for them.

Wow, look at me! I managed to read all the posts I missed yesterday while traveling. Love this extra hour stuff. And I got up in the daylight for the first time in forever! Woo! Now to unpack some boxes.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Some people thought I'm taking it personally, but actually, I'm just so very bloodthirsty. Nothing personal but my lack of will to accept bullshit, and that ain't very personal.

Ahahahaha!

Feminism, man. It ain't for the weak of heart. Keep on keeping on, Shir, and know we got your back.

Edit: LAURA! (mwah!)

Our wings are not tired.

Nora! Mwah back! I feel so absent from here. Work is killing my free time completely. Honestly I am not complaining because having lots of work is a good thing. I made a list of what I need in a new hire and in theory a new person will be in place to help me soon. Of course in the short run it will be more work to train, but real help will be welcome.

How's NOLA?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

On jdate, someone who lives a few hundred miles away from me just sent me a message, "Hey there, How are you? :)" No more to the message. Nothing in his profile that makes me think that we'd be at all compatible. Very odd.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Could it be misidentification on his part, Hil?

sumi - Nov 07, 2010 4:33:19 am PST #7707 of 30000
Art Crawl!!!

That is odd. Somebody you have no other connection to?

Barb - love the graphic. Promo is tough - (even just in the ordinary job interview variety) - but it sounds like things are going really well - congratulations!!

Billytea - good to hear that the nephew is doing well.
