[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Exclamation points!

Yes, I'm a big fan of them!

We did a huge 30 Day Out task list for our wedding last night (actually 34 days out today). SO much to do. But also a lot has been done so there's that! I have a fitting of a mock up of my dress this week. That will be fun! I still don't know what I'm doing about shoes for me though.

Yay, lisah! We're doing this simple elopement, and yet there is still so much to do. I need to have the announcements printed, compile everyone's addresses, and we still haven't finalized what we want in our ceremony. My dress still isn't finished being made, although at least there was a zipper in it at the last fitting.

Oh yeah. That's a big thing we have to work out! No real ideas what to do.

Our JP sent us 10 sample ceremonies, and I like pieces of some of them, so it's just a matter of piecing them together the way we want them.

My friends who were married this summer just had their officiant read the MA court decision allowing same sex marriage and the said their (very simple) vows. It was really beautiful and, of course, short! I think we want to do a bit more than that but I'm not sure what.

Dear Not So Bright Relatives,

When I ask you for your address so that I can send you a wedding announcement responding that you would love one and then not including your address is not helpful.

No Love,

Me

Vortex, it may not matter to them. Supply chain is a bit funky, but it's not hard. It may matter more to them to have someone with good management skills, SCS can be taught. I know that we don't necessiarily hire for transportation/supply chain background unless it's for sales, but look for a good management skill set.

If you'd like another officiant's input, I'd be happy to offer some of the cool stuff I've been able to use in ceremonies. (profile addy is good)

And congrats!

I'm so honored to have been asked recently to officiate another same sex wedding. This one is for two really good friends and will probably just be the three of us in a park with our dogs. Such great joy to be able to do it for them.

“Not dead yet!”

Can I vent about one little thing that's totally a First World Problem?

Book reviewers/bloggers who receive ARCs from the publisher and put up a rating on a site like GoodReads WITHOUT the benefit of a review. And yes, I will be completely honest and say that it bugs me because they're three-star ratings. I don't care about receiving nothing but ratings once the book is out-- not everyone is going to review the book and that's okay. And I don't care if a reviewer opts not to review a book, because that's totally their call as well.

But to give JUST the ratings and no review before the freakin' book is out?

Okay.

Done now.

Feel free to tell me I'm being a neurotic author.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

that package in the mail is on its way to you.

It got here today!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It is now living on the fireplace mantel with the other Oz-themed snowglobes and some camels. Can never have too many of either, IMHO.

Seriously, thank you so much.
