Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I think he enjoys having everyone he meets stare at him and go "Huh?" They just rarely have the means to have him committed or brainscanned.

I was going to say, that's a large institution and hasn't she looked into transferring internally

This actually might be good. Last I heard, they were only allowing internal transfers, not new hires, so other depts. might be really happy to get her.

That's where it backfires. FOILED!

My mother and sister are coming today, mostly to see my cousin one more time. I am not ready.

Note to self: Clean more than once a year.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Since Dallas is a passport processing center and you are so close to your departure date, you have the option of making an appointment with a rep at the center who can help you locate it. I know it means taking time off work but the both people I know who did it said that just making the appointment lessened their anxiety and both walked out with their documentation.

Ginger, is today your birthday? If so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

If not, uh, hi!

It's not our passports. It's our visas. That place is in Houston. Which, Jon did say he'd drive down on Thursday if he had to. I'm just frustrated and trying not to cry or have a fit at work.

In bed is warm. Out is chilly. Not that it is cold, per se, just the delta T is more than my skin wants. Can I stay here for a few hours? Damn. Ok. I'll get up and get ready for work.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Last I heard, they were only allowing internal transfers, not new hires, so other depts. might be really happy to get her.

Yeah, they might, a lot of people there like her, but she seems to just want to get out.

I think he enjoys having everyone he meets stare at him and go "Huh?"

Sounds like my ex Mike. I gave up trying to get him to therapy (which he needed, a lot) because he couldn't stop messing with the therapist.

In terms of qualifying for unemployment, this may vary by state, but there's an important distinction between being fired with cause (i.e., stealing stuff) and being laid off (i.e., reorg, downsizing, "just not working out" etc). You only qualify for unemployment if you're laid off.

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure about the distinction between being fired and being laid off. She hasn't done anything wrong, but I strongly suspect they'll claim to have cause. Her supervisor really really doesn't like her and seems to have been trying to undermine her ever since he got promoted above her.

“Not dead yet!”

WOOT! Another great review for STARS and this one at a site that's guaranteed to chafe someone's knickers. (Please Universe, don't smite me with a bolt of lightning for courting potentially bad karma...)
