Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Zenkitty, it is all too likely that she is in a hopeless/helpless mental loop. I'm sorry to not be able to reassure there. But if she were actively looking, there would be some sense of agency and power that would buoy up her spirits. Best wishes to her and some ~ma for figuring out some steps she can take to make her life better.

Teppy, you are not the angel of death. I'm sorry I don't know what to say to really help, but you just are not. You are definitely having a really shitty time of it, though. Much ~ma for your whole family, and for your uncle, and for you.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH hates his current position. He's not looking because I've asked him to wait. I don't feel like moving again just yet. He's giving me until spring. If things improve for him in four months, he won't worry about looking. But if they don't, I've agreed to let him start the process of finding another job.

But he's miserable where he's at and I feel sort of responsible for keeping him in the job. It's a trade off because the kids and I are doing so well here. However, the situation cannot continue if he hates going into work every day.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am the motherfucking angel of death.

Pffft. Not unless you're made out of cigarettes, and beer and are controlling all the choices of your father's side of the family who all have heart disease.

Halloween went pretty well. We went over to Belvedere Street (nearby and dense with folks on their stoops and making garage haunted houses etc.) (Fond memories of dragging Teppy, Perkins and Juliana out to Belvedere Street with us on a cold, rainy Halloween for Emmett.)

Matilda went as Wonder Woman though she was just down to bodice and belt and skirt (no boots or head band or bracelets).

JZ was a freakin' rock star as Mary Poppins. We walked out of our house and about twelve kids at the bus stop across the street started yelling, "Hey! It's Mary Poppins!" and it was like that all night, as (mostly women) cried out very fondly for Mary Poppins.

Plus also too: Giants fucking win! Sweet! One win away. MadBum goes 8. Buster goes deep. Huff 'N Puff hits a two run shot, and great defense all around.

Underdogs every step but you know what? They just didn't know how good our pitching was. It's just that good.

We've beaten Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, Cole Hamels, Tim Hudson and Derek Lowe in the post-season. Chalk that up to luck, bitches.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the info and advice, everyone. She won't let anyone help her, but her father sent her a solid job lead (he might be good for something after all!), and I'm hoping this may be her way out. (Actually, I think she should quit and spend a year concentrating on her art, but that's probably bad advice to give her. I'm supposed to be a responsible role model!)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Makes me wonder if there are places with those kinds of laws

There sure are.

Y'all were also smart enough to pick up Cody Ross. Loves me that gamer.

He's been huge! Carried us through the Philly series on his back. In the field too. Got to like a guy who's nickname is "Smiley."

He's amazing to watch in the field- he's not the fastest guy or the best glove guy, but no one and I mean, no one, hustles like him and because of that hustle, I've seen him make some amazing plays in the field. I was so pissed when the Marlins let him go, but I was happy to see him go to the Giants.
