Just home from the theatre. I realized that I've spent about 7 hours awake at home since Wednesday. Thursday and Friday at the theatre (came home, futzed about for about an hour and a half each night), then up Saturday and to the theatre for the matinee, then home to jump in the shower and change/dress up for the wedding dinner. Was on the way into my building from dinner, remembered that my neighbor was having a Halloween party, so stopped by there for a few hours, then to bed. Up today and made some breakfast and futzed for a few hours, then off to the theatre until . . . now.
I'm TAHRD.
Get some rest, Vortex.
If feline cuteness will help, here is some: [link] from one of my favorite foster-kitten-blogs.
It's nearly 7pm and no kiddos have knocked the door or rang the bell. This building has at least a dozen kids. I hear them in the pool on warm days. I've seen them. But no trick or treaters. Looks like I'll have a big bag of candy for tomorrow!
ION- Has anyone noticed that in the movie BATMAN & MR. FREEZE: SUBZERO, the BatPlane looks a lot like a Cylon Raider? IJS.
We haven't got any trick or treaters either. I bet they're getting slammed up at NoiseDesigns.
I grew up Lutheran, Tep.
That's how it feels.
Also, I grew up weirded out by Catholics before I ever met one(adding them to the family didn't really help with this, unfortunately.)
We always get slammed. Jilli is happily candy-ing the dozens of children and making teens without costumes sing for candy. Awesome.
What is she making them sing?
hey we got trick or treaters. Teens but at least they were in costume.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Pinkalicious came to town!! [link]
Happy Birthday to Daniel!
Happy Anniversary to Jilli & Pete!
We didn't have as many kids as we expected. It was a nice night so we sat outside with tiki torches to encourage the kiddos. We did visit some with neighbors doing the same so that was nice.
Tiring weekend. We had company picnic Saturday afternoon and huge neighborhood block part Saturday night. And I still lost a pound! Not eating meat again leaves little to choose from at such events. Rice and black beans at one event, a bit of fresh salad at the other. Some raw veggies. DH consumed my share of jerk chicken and other stuff.
Still unpacking at the house. Did 6 boxes today, which was awesome. My life, so exciting!
The stars do seem to be aligning to enable me to go watch the shuttle launch on Wednesday. It was initially scheduled for Monday when it is way more difficult to play hooky from work.
So I skipped tons of posts again. I skim and send good thoughts, but don't get to post as much as I would like. And now it is time for sleep. G'night Bitches.
