That sounds amazing, Zen! I think I want that job, shoot!
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Woo, and might I add, Hoo, for Sarah! That does sound like a dream job. May it lead to further dream jobs in the future.
ION, I find myself thoroughly impressed that a foil pack of Actifed survived a go-round in the washer and dryer at the laundromat in tact. If it weren't for the high heat of the dryer, I would even give them back to Daniel to use.
Zen that job sounds awesome. Spectacularly so.
I have three hours left to finish up this British Museum application. Arghhhh it is hard.
Woo hoo for aniversaries of birth, weddings, and good work-related news out there.
In excellent halloween-related news, imma going on a guided tour of one of my favorite cemetaries tonight! Def a good excuse to pull out the heavy (warm) skirts and vintage mourning bonnet. Sweet.
Hurrah and yippee for Sarah! It says much about her that this is her dream. How fantastic.
Minor feh. I can't leave for NOLA until Friday of the weekend we've chosen and B. has a midterm that Monday he can't reschedule. Not much of a long weekend. Trying to figure out if it's still worth it.
I've pretty much slept all day. Really need to shift my carcass, put some clothes on, and tidy up this shithole. Also, I have work stuff to do. Hrmph.
Yay, for your niece, Zenkitty! That sounds like an awesome job.
The coconut red curry I am making is turning out to be a pretty Halloween orange, which was totally accidental.
I went to a Lutheran church service today (for Tim's nephew's confirmation), and it was my first Lutheran service. Since today is when they celebrate the anniversary of the Reformation, the liturgy was different than normal, with all kinds of language that came across to me as very very VERY melodramatic, about how "we are miserable sinners who are not open to the word of God," etc.
I didn't know they DON'T have that as part of their weekly liturgy until afterwards, so I spent the whole service a little scared, a little depressed, and a little amused. Apparently, no, that language is just in honor of Martin Luther, who was himself not the most fun guy on the block.
Now I'm handing out Halloween candy (5 kids in the past hour -- I think we're going to have a LOT left over this year) and then going to run to the grocery in the hour between end of trick-or-treating and NEW SHERLOCK.
I need a reason to go out tonight or I'ma start drinking.
Went out to the OC to see visiting cousins and eat a big breakfast, which was fun except both the DH and I are left with the strong impression that our niece's husband (the one she married at age 19 and then "chose to" get pregnant with even though they had no jobs or insurance) is a meth head.
Now I am running around like a crazy person packing and prepping for my business trip tomorrow.
I'm sleepy. Drove down to DC this weekend for the rally, which was fun, but tiring. The Metro was really not prepared for this number of people.
