Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

(the peppers were tasty, though)

Ooh I just had the best oatmeal. I made a big pot but nobody else wanted any so I put a bowl in the fridge and when I microwaved it the next day it was like oatmeal bread pudding.

I was so miffed the other day, I bought a jar of "Mediterranean Olive mix" and all it had were pitted green olives and pepperoncini.

That sounds good, but I don't know what is supposed to be in there. What did they leave out?

One of my errands is returning a book to the library that I already told them twice I have already returned.

I expected more than one kind of olive. And I could have sworn when I picked up the jar I saw some garlic in there but it must have been part of a pepper.

Saw the dentist this morning - cleaning and check up went quite well. But the dentist got all gleeful when he noticed a tissue tag on the roof of my mouth. It's nothing serious, but he wants to laser it off so that it doesn't trap food and bacteria. He said it looks really cool, and that he had never seen anything quite like it. So he used his iPhone to take a picture of it to email to a colleague to double check his assessment. The man was chuckling and giggling about it.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I am a porridge fan, if it's made properly.

Here's a fun recipe for oatcakes. When you mix the ingredients together, you basically get porridge. Then you knead it and it magically turns into dough!

It makes Scottish-style oatcakes, which are like crackers, not cookies.

I think my childhood understanding of fairy tales would have been better if someone had told me that oatmeal is porridge. I mean, so is Cream of Wheat, and other hot cereal, but I didn't know it then.

I've had oatmeal, cream of wheat, cornmeal porrige, grits, buckwheat... if you can mix it with hot water and eat it for breakfast, I've probably had it.

edit: I've just read the wikipedia page on porrige and the above statement is horrendously wrong. And now I have a new hobby.

I've also finished my tea. Ta for now.

Grape Nuts can be served as porridge, but I don't like it that way.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I haven't had Grape Nuts since I was pregnant with Matilda, when my OB said I should be gaining weight a little faster, so for two weeks I had a before-bed snack consisting of half and half over Grape Nuts, with a spoonful of sugar. So very wickedly good.
