Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I *heart* sj's nephew. what a great way to get in trouble. fantastic news from amyth's fam, continuing the ~ma all over for positive outcomes all round.

I used to get migraines at least once a week starting around age 11. Worst was one that lasted 4 days. 4 days of crying as softly and gently as possible in a dark room. Went to mult drs and neuros b/ my pediatrician didn't believe teenagers could get migraines *shrug*. Standard mind-stabbingly painful headaches with olfactory auras coupled with blinding pain, nausea, and light sensitivity. I wouldn't make that shit up, they came on weekends as well as weekdays so it wasn't like i was trying to avoid school. At age 16 got put on nortryptylene as a preventative after competent neuro realized how fast i was going through midrin and naprosyn on an "as needed" basis. I had clearly told him i was averaging three migraines a week, and yet he was still astonished i was taking the meds more than once a week. Der. Stayed on the preventative for 15 years, by which time they had tapered out to maybe one or two a year, so i gradually weaned off it and am holding steady at maybe one or two a year, sometimes less. Outgrowing misery is a great thing that i highly recommend. Now i just get tension and eyestrain headaches, which feel totally different and respond magnificently to ibuprofen.

It seems to me that migraines seem to be more prevalent among intelligent/creative types. Never found a specific trigger for mine but i think more and more that it might have had something to do with my tobacco allergy...since the migraines desisted around the same time my "asthma" disappeared (when i moved out of VA where everyone smoked inside to CA where no one was allowed to smoke inside anywhere.) Or maybe they were just an early warning flag for FMS.

Sometimes i wonder if our brains are just wired wierd.

“Not dead yet!”

My 5 year old nephew apparently got in trouble at school for standing on the lunchroom tables singing "That's Amore".

This is why I'm a terrible parent-- I'd be more proud that a five-year-old knows a classic like "That's Amore" than worried about being in trouble.

I'm getting the pig!

Yay, amyth! Just such wonderful news.

{{FredPete & Hubs & Max}} continued good thoughts and lots of ~ma.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

This is why I'm a terrible parent

Barb, I thought we agreed that you're an awesome parent. Look how Abby turned out.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Barb, he has Italian grandparents who are always playing Dean Martin and Sinatra for him, so knowing those songs is pretty much a given. He is quite charming and hard to get mad at, despite the fact that he is a little devil.

Uh-oh... I fear for the female population in about fifteen years.

Barb, you should fear for the female population now. He had no less than 3 little girls following him everywhere at the wedding claiming to be his girlfriend and crying hysterically when their parents took them away to eat.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Aw! Very impressive. Sad for the wee girls but still quite impressive.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Love that your brother sang, amyth!

My 5 year old nephew apparently got in trouble at school for standing on the lunchroom tables singing "That's Amore".

That would make a great scene in a movie.
