I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

La petite mort, my friend.

I'd never taken it quite that literally. Perhaps I'm in need of some re-educating.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am... confused.

La petite mort, my friend.

Huh. I just assumed it was shamless seasonally related marketing. "Look! Our vibrators will sell better if we link them to Halloween imagery!"

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

most likely a little of both. Omnis, go to the wedding stag, you might meet some1 awesome there. if not, chat with any coworkers you do like.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The DH's 15-year-old recliner broke yesterday and since this is A CRISIS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS during baseball playoffs, we went out to shop for furniture. We bought two of these: [link] We got an extra 10% off plus $100 off for opening a Macy's charge, so they were expensive, but not horribly expensive. Okay, they were pretty expensive, but they're so comfy and pretty!

We also pretty much fixed his old chair and it will become my office chair.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

omg my Dad got the exact same chair for father's day. He loves it!

mystery~ma coming your way, Shir. I can't wait for the big reveal.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you, Laga! I really can't wait to tell you people too. I'm very bad at keeping things from people, but because this is hanging in the air and not-too-certain, I want it to become more solid before I'll run and tell more people. Not necessarily to jinx it or anything, but because it's not too solid at the moment. Which is, again, why I need the ~ma: to make it come true.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Breakfast was a challenge today.

We're out of Olive oil, so I had to fry my eggs in pure butter. Yum!

What was not yum, was that I had to throw out my first batch, and clean the fry pan, because the third egg I cracked into the pan had blood throughout, and I have to draw the line somewhere. Some people? That would put some people off eggs, but be assured that I cracked each new egg into a glass before I transferred it to the pan. yick. I may be sanguine about an occasional shell fragment, but that? NSM.

Mama Bezoar will not be happy.
