Jessica, have you tried mineral oil? My cousin used to slip that in a milk shake for her kid.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
(Apologies to the non-parents in this thread. I do so envy those of you who have lives outside of bowel movements.)
Mineral oil is not recommended for kids under 12 without a doctor's supervision.
Jessica. Prunes. Seriously. Prune juice. Quartered prunes. We have been there.
Also, raisins, also fresh fruit he really loves in large quantities.... Also been there.
Short of fois-gras style force feeding, prune juice has been a no-go for us.
We're already doing oatmeal with dried fruit every morning for breakfast, and Fiber Gummies at dinnertime. The problem isn't fiber, it's willpower.
Small first-world bitch: I just found out that I don't have a ride to a niece's wedding. The sister I live with and her spouse are distancing themselves from me and are planning a weekend activity that includes other things besides the wedding and staying over-night, so no ride there. And my brother is taking both of his in-town married daughters plus spouses and grand-kids, so no ride there.
If it weren't a matter of hours away, I would just drive myself. But with the Fibromyalgia, I don't feel comfortable spending hours on the highway, stuck in one position and maintaining my concentration level.
I don't have the where-with-all to stay overnight myself, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Well, I was basing my worry on driving from my old home town and it was a good 3-4 hour drive. Turns out it's only about 2 from my new home town. So, Nevermind!
Oi. That sucks.
Bribery?
Speaking as a woman whose firstborn only pooped while wearing a diaper and hiding in a closet until about 3.5, you have my sympathies. No advice, but sympathy.
Edit: uh, that was to Jessica.
Quester, I hate to say it, but perhaps the bus? I hate when family gets weird.
