It isn't that I didn't know the people in my life were good folk, but the incredible depth of their generosity is staggering.
My oldest friend in town...we've drifted into different lives. He has two small kids, etc.
He called, seeming a bit hurt that he had to hear about my struggle from a neighbor. Honestly, it never occurred to me to trouble him.
We talked about how I am uninsured and the hospital bills are going to be rough. Completely unbidden, he said, "Well, I'm going to pay your October rent." Just like that.
People are amazing.

Bonny!! So glad to hear you are on the mend. I think October will be a good month. Bonny on the mend, ND on the mend. Yes, I declare October will be the start of good things. Who needs to wait for January? October has been good to me in the past. Heck, it gave me birth! So, by the powers vested in me, I say, October will start good things for my Bitches!
I'm down with that, omnis! I have plenty of fun personal things planned in October. But work may not cooperate. Sigh. Fingers crossed--I am irritated by various things, and wondering if I should be job hunting--but who has time?
