I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thanks, all! Still pretty unreal.

I vote Shout at the Devil.

(I always work all my hours, but have been shifting to a later and later start time; I thought nobody minded, but apparently I was wrong),

O HAI I KNOW THIS ONE. Feh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Appointment went ok. Unfortunately I have to go get more bloodwork done. There was no joint damage on the x-rays. My vitamin d levels are low so she is giving me a mega dose perscription of that my iron is still low, so she wants me to see a hematologist. Also, she gave me relafen for the pain. Anyone ever take it?

Our wings are not tired.

Smonster, I am really excited for you!

Kate, I can relate in some ways. I still love my job, but since I am far from being married, the baby thing just, in general, gets me down sometimes. I am glad you're married and young and have all of that ahead of you. How thrilling!

That's one of Hubby's wardrobe of painkillers, it seems to work well, but it's hard to pick out any side effects that are specific to one particular drug.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Anyone ever take it?

For a while, yeah. I can't take NSAIDs for long, though, because they aggravate another condition. They were good for pain, as I recall. Hope the further bloodwork isn't too stressful!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Thanks, javachik. It's definitely exciting to have that ahead of me! I'm just impatient to, you know, get to it. And I'm tired of my job, which is probably the biggest factor affecting my mood today.

The status is NOT quo.

~ma for Sox and Jilli and sj

YAY Beth!

CONGRATS TO SMONSTER! I, too, am in the "move across the country to many unknowns" club, and I'm happy to say I have never regretted it. One of the best decisions I've made in my life.

all this halloween costume talk makes me think of the movie _Mean Girls_ when all the HS girls use Halloween as an excuse to dress as tramps and the newbie transfer actually dresses up in a kinda awesome costume and feels like an idiot. Painfully true.

One of the things I love about working in my all-girls school is that the girls go NUTS for Halloween, and sexiness plays very little role in the costumes (which they tend to invent or create themselves). The girls that won the costume contest last year were Olympia and Manet. Olympia wore a "nude" body suit for the part, but it wasn't sexy (if that makes sense). They were awesome. The year before, a seventh grader as a giant Starbucks cup won.
