Okay, um, I'm lost. Uh, I'm angry, and I'm armed, so if you two have something that you need to work out --

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Maaaan, I miss my California peeps. I want to visit people, and gently nag Drew to take it easy!

Yes, please!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Nora, I'm sorry, it's so terribly hard. That's what my mother went through in her last days. We were wrecked by the end. I'm so sorry.

P.-C., sorry you got your wallet lifted. It builds Jilliness, though, right?

“Not dead yet!”

I wouldn't mind visiting Cali, myself. Last visit was too hurried/scattered with the conference getting in the way.

In Saturday news, spicy red beans w/ andouille, ham, and chicken is bubbling away in a pot for Lewis' birthday meal.

I'm so glad I married a man who loves my cooking.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm glad I married a man who loves to cook.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm using my stove right now, AIFG!

I'm cooking the 35 pound squash, all in one piece. I just cut a hole in it, removed the innards, and put the piece back in.

Man this Hubbard squash is big.

To give you an idea, I had to take out the middle oven rack, and put the bottom one on the lowest bar. Even one bar up, it wouldn't fit. I also had to put aluminum foil on the whole rack, as I didn't want to sully my huge sheet cake pan.

Oh, and I had to put it in the oven kitty-corner, as it wouldn't fit in side to side.

No, we don't have an apartment sized oven.

I'm also cooking a bottom round Angus beef roast, with red potatoes and garlic, in the crock pot.

Incidentally? on vacation through Oct 3rd. Andi joins me in vacation Monday.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

omnis, I'm very glad to hear about your date went well. 4 hours of great conversation is nothing to look down at. One of the reasons I despise dating is that for me, it usually ends in an hour and a half of forced conversation (from my side. I'm good with hiding how uncomfortable the situation makes me feel).
Nope, not looking down at all. It was swell. The last 45 minutes or so was in the car, parked next to hers, she'd put her hand on the handle to leave, then get into another conversation. Then say, "I should go" put her hand on the handle again, and it started all over again. Plenty of chances for her to leave, and yet, stayed chatting. It was cute.

Jilli visit! Woot! I second the motion. Or was Jilli the first, and Pix the second? Then I third the motion, right? So that means it passes! Woot! Jilli visit!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This board frequently makes me want to fold up the country like a tesseract so I could make visiting California a day trip. (No offense to non-coastal Buffistas, but DANG there are a lot of us in LA & SF!)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Microwave rice = surprisingly good! (Not that surprising, since rice cooks by steaming which is what microwaves do. But it never occurred to me to make it this way before.)

Trader Joe's has very good frozen microwave brown rice. It is, indeed, surprisingly good! It's sort of magical, really.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just noticed that there's a town in PA called Loyalsockville. I really want to know where that name came from.
