Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My theory: either Jilli went to the Seattle school with orange and black as colors or her spooky little heart was bitterly jealous that she did not.
My HS colors were green and orange. Pity me.
It's possible I have been a little paranoid today that G would have an asthma attack. So, after every coughing fit I asked him if he was okay? I just sneezed and he said "k sarah?"
My high school colors were yellow and black; I mostly stuck to the black and pretended the yellow didn't exist.
College colors were rose and grey, and then in the middle of my sophomore year the school did some kind of style overhaul where the official colors remained officially the same, but most of the signage and everything in the bookstore was redone in maroon and gold, which was a constant irritant in its faux-Harvardosity.
The Diva looks utterly adorable in a totally badass sort of way, and the armwarmers are all the more awesome for having been made by herself.
College and one of my grad schools was red and black. Those are also the colors for my company.
My high school was red, white, and blue, and junior high was yellow and gold.
My sister's prep school colours were brown. And brown. And she had to wear them every day. And a beret. And there were nuns.
Oh, god, it was funny if you weren't her.
My HS colors were green and orange. Pity me.
I really do. That's an even worse combination than mine.
I have this light box, which wasn't terribly pricey.
We have this one (don't know if it would be available in the US) - I use it for SAD and The Girl uses it for sleep. It's pretty good. I need to remember to use it more, especially this time of year.
Thanks, Shir. We're getting there, if slowly! The Girl is currently building wardrobes. We may have a kitchen tomorrow. (This will help my hydration, which will help aforementioned problem.) Wish I knew what to say about your feminism situation. It's not something I've encountered, but I can relate to problems that make you question the whole way in which a movement operates.
Oh, talking of feminist organisations. Those of you who told me to e-mail higher-ups in the org where I volunteer and talk to them about reasonable adjustments - you had the right idea, so thank you! I have a meeting with someone important next week to talk about how I can fulfil my role in different ways, and how they can help with this. I hope we can find a way forward. It would be really good to be able to continue there.
Close tag, Seska. Close tag.
My high school colors were blue and white, but we had uniforms. College was purple and white, but since I'm not a football fan it never really came up.
- Grade school: Blue and white. Team name: St. Martin Rockets
- High school: Orange and black. Team name: Clintonville Truckers
- College: Red and white. Team name: Wisconsin Badgers
I have a number of red and white Badger sweatshirts. I try to wear them to Evanston whenever the Badgers defeat the Northwestern Wildcats.
