Cincinnati driving makes me crazy because the highway exits have ZERO relation to the Google maps version of said exits.
Sunrise, Florida 'Lost' By Google Maps
It's home to 90,000 people, one of the nation's biggest malls, a National Hockey League team and, the city's mayor boasts, the first IKEA store in the state.
But, for at least a month this summer, Google's computers "lost" Sunrise, Florida.
Benedryl helps me sleep, but first it makes me wicked jittery. If I am taking it, I take one at least an hour before bed, and use the jitters to do the dishes and tidy up and maybe watch an hour-long show. By the time all that's done, I am actually sleepy.
Just got a report from Hec: They went and met the admin and the program director and Matilda didn't hate any of it or run away screaming. And it will definitely give us a huge advantage in placement next fall.
So, Hec and I will go in on Monday to fill out more paperwork, and over the rest of the week we'll work on the transition, and on the first Monday in October she'll start.
Eep!
Yay, Matilda! Transition~ma to her.
Eep!
Only the good kind of eep! I know it's come up as a sudden decision, but it really sounds like a great opportunity in so many ways.
After Atlanta traffic, the only place that fazed me (fazed, people!) was Boston. They pass on the right in one lane. They sit at stop lights with one foot on the brake and other other on the accelerator. I've only been driven in SF, and I wouldn't want to drive my manual truck there.
Atlanta drivers also stop at the end of the ramp. I have no idea why.
I was going to go visit my cousin this afternoon, but he said he felt too bad for visitors, which is a first. My mother has said she wants to come down here to see him before the end. She hasn't seen my house in more than a decade. I feel incredibly selfish that one of my responses to any downturns in his health is "Shit, I need to clean."
Yay, Matilda!
One of my writers brought me flowers and chocolate today, as a thank you for putting up with her hijinks and dealing with surprise last-minute project. A nice way to start off my last day on this contract.

Because they're on a personal mission to GIVE ME FUCKING HEART ATTACKS.
