I've found melatonin works really well. Freaky dreams, though. And, as Jess said, unregulated, so dosages taken with a grain of salt (I prefer the higher doses - 5 - 10 mg).

I finally bought a drop leaf table. It's not exactly what I wanted, but it's close enough, and a great price, and I'm tired of looking. Now I just need to clear out the space where I want to put it, so that the guy delivering it will be able to put it there.

Also, no driving until he's, like, 30. Not in the Bay Area. I still remember white-knuckling my way through the Caldecott Tunnel and over the Bay Bridge for the first time at 19, and damn near having to pull over and throw up at the end of the drive (now I breeze through them like they're nothing, but the San Mateo Bridge is still horribly vertigo-inducing). Thirty is plenty of time. Maybe thirty-five. No need to rush these things.
