"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's scary, ND and Kristin. Sending ~ma westward.

I woke up at 5 and just gave up trying to sleep. Do not want.

And then they wonder why you don't come by as much as they'd like? Goodness, P-C. I'm glad your brother has you.

Much figure it out and get it fixed~ma for ND.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

continuing the health~ma Drew-ward.

re: cleaning, i swiffer 2 (maybe 3) times a week to keep the furballs at bay, and pretty much clean everything (except the toilet) with pop-up sponges and water. wiping down kitchen and bathroom surfaces happens once or twice a day (wiping up splashed water=cleaning in the process) and only find the need to use commercial cleaners when cleaning the inside of the toilet bowl because i refuse to go near that with my hands. I also take my shoes off indoors because i don't like cleaning but i do like clean floors very much.

Oh, Kristin and ND, much love and even more ~ma coming your way. I hope they get this all figured out NOW for good.

P-C, I read your stories with a new interest these days. The school I'm working at right now has a population of 67% Indian. Many of the kids spend 4-6 weeks in India a summer (actually, one or two of our teachers did this summer too). And I know of at least one family where the grandparents came from India to choose a school for their grandchildren.

What I see from the children is so amazing, but I do see that push from the parents. I had to actually work with a couple of them this summer to learn how to play. When we put out buckets of water, a couple of kiddie pools, and a sprinkler, they didn't know what to do. And that makes me sad. But, I'm the fun police, so I taught them how to play.

I hope that what you're going through now filters through and makes life easier for these kiddos when they reach adulthood.

{{{{{{{{{P-C&brother}}}}}}}}}} I'm sorry for the hell you have to go through, but glad you have each other.

{{{{{{Pix&Drew}}}}}}}} ~ma for getting to the bottom of this, and getting it taken care of.

Hey, vw, good to see your font here!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Guys, I'm sorry. I hope they work it out this time.

X-posted with beep me: After the max dose of morphine had brought the pain from a 10 to a 9, they finally gave him some diludad (sp?), which brought him to a manageable 7. They are doing a bunch of tests, but the doctor suspects bowel obstruction. I've never seen him in pain like that. It was terrifying. I'm so glad he's at least at a manageable level now.

Oh, Pix.... I know it is no joke to sit there next to the man while he's in the hospital and in terrible pain....

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

~ma for Drew.

I'm reading some more of the housekeeping book. It recommends using the long brush attachment to vacuum your walls and ceilings at least twice a year. I see the point of cleaning baseboards, but cleaning ceilings? The only thing I can really think of that could be up there is spider webs.

Pix, I'm so glad you checked in. I've been worried.

It's dilaudid, and it's amazing shit. Just don't ever go into the ER and ask for it, 'cause they'll think you're a drug seeker. I hope they get it figured out soon. Ugh.
