I'm 17. Looking at linoleum makes me want to have sex.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just checked through the schedule, and nobody else has students in more than three different buildings. Most people are just in one or two, and several have all their students in the same room.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's frustrating.

My computer died in its sleep. I've been planning to replace it soon-ish but not two days before I leave town and not without some research and, really, not without slightly more research. Possibly having backed up more recently too. Bother.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Condolences, Cass. Can you do without until you're back and then see what you can salvage?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Happy birthday, smonster! You did right by those kitties, no matter what anyone else says.

Thrive to spite them

Happy Birthday Smonster.

My temp work was good. The drive home was hellish. It took 1 1/2 hours to get home. Most of that spent going less than 5 mph. There was some construction but I also saw 3 cars broken down on the side of the road. And when I got back home it was in time for my knitting club so I went. And there I heard there was at least 1 major accident that must have been cleared up.

Tomorrow I'm going to take the interstate part way and go Rt 7 the rest -- it will take me through some towns and might be slower. But it can't be any worse than what today was.

The other good thing - is that my supervisor at the temp job said she could probably use me during the holidays. I decided not to go home, as much as I'd want to see everyone on Xmas I think it's better that I'm available to work and Xmas is always so hectic. Instead I'm going home for a visit next month.

I am absolutely doing without. I am just cranky. Mostly because I really don't know what I want so I was hoping to put the decison off for a couple of months.

And, if my backup isn't recent enough, I can pay $100 stupid tax and probably transfer my data to a new machine when I get it. I am hoping my backup is recent enough. I should have backed up last night. Hindsight is always awesome.

I bought wine and chocolate on my way home from the Genius Bar.

Wine and chocolate are good antidotes to teh stupids.

Happy Birthday, smonster and Sophia!

I haz a bug of some description. I woke up before the alarm this morning in such pain it felt like I'd been stretched on the rack and dumped in my bed. My hips hurt too much to sit, lie, or stand.

In other news though, we had lumberjack theatre most of the day. The tree across the street was infested with carpenter ants, and a crew of three took it down, limb by limb, while we watched from our living room. They did a great job. There's a hole in my view now, though.

Well, I sort of got an answer about the exam room situation. There will be an undergrad proctor in each room, and I'm supposed to make sure that each of them has my cell phone number and I have their numbers, so that we can communicate during the exam. I'm supposed to go between the rooms, and get to each room at least once, but I'm fairly certain this is impossible. My supervisor has at least acknowledged that it's not a good situation, and that she'd be furious if her rooms were arranged like that, which is far better than the administrative person this morning who told me that I should stop complaining.

I like hard cider. You should have some. If you were here with me, you could have some of mine.
