erika, that's awesome!
John in Chem got laid off
What. That is all kinds of fucked up! Major frowny face. Dan is nowhere near as awesome as John. In fact, he was pretty useless from my POV.
On a semi-related note, our mutual friend of your name and astrological leanings sent me a FB message about cray cray K, saying that they chatted over coffee and giving me her number. I was like, thanks... I'll have to give her a call...
My one ear is so stuffed up that I'm developing a new theory about that Van Gogh thing.
I had too buy a book today - yay Amy
Ma all around
happy birthday dinner, erika
and more , but that is all that is in my brain right now

I just woke up and read this and was like, "...I don't have any astrological...what...oh." Took me a minute. I didn't know she and K. knew each other.
Anyway, Happy Birthday!!
Feel better, Ginger.
I'm thinking of either going in late today, or calling in "sick" because I don't have any meetings for once, and I have a lot to do for my trip to France next week. Like, I need to go to the credit union and order Euros, and it takes them a week, and I leave in a week and a day. A week and a day!
and I leave in a week and a day. A week and a day!
I know, right? I need socks. And to do a trial packing run, to make sure I can fit everything in my smaller suitcase. It's theoretically a carry-on, but I'd probably be checking it anyway. I just don't want to wrassle my big case between the airport and the train station, the train station and the hotel, etc.
So I was in bed by 12:30, read a little magazine for a bit, and was asleep by 1-ish.
And I woke up at 7:15ish, full of vim and vigor -- well, maybe not THAT so much, but full enough to actually get up and make coffee.
That going to bed earlier thing kind of works, huh?
Things to do with the day stretching out before me, besides work on client stuff: go to PetSmart, buy the GOOOD flea dip, dip the dog.
Also, go through garage for garage sale items for at least 45 minutes.
If I do not do these things today, please send Tino over to kick my ass.
Mor kofee now.
I'm feeling less Van Gogh-ish this morning, but I swear I'm going to breathe steam every two hours today like the doctor ordered.
I wouldn't bother with the euros if I were you, Calli. The exchange rate here is horrendous. Hit an ATM in the airport.
I'm not going to change that much money, but I want to have a little bit of money in my pocket when I land.
And to do a trial packing run, to make sure I can fit everything in my smaller suitcase.
I would take my carry-on, but my carry-on is micro-small. I don't think I can get away with it for two weeks. Though I'm tempted.
Some Nice News to start off a gloomy day.
Have a smonsterrific birthday, smonster!
