Maria. Good to see your pixels. How are you doing? Any news since we last heard?
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks, everyone!
Thanks, Gar. Instead of re-typing, I'm just going to xpost from Natter:
There are good days and bad days. DH has his CT scan on Monday, an appointment at Hopkins on Tuesday, and we'll find out if it's spread to other organs on Wednesday. If it hasn't spread--barring a clinical trial that he's eligible for--he'll start interferon treatments the following week. I'm trying to get the research on INF together, because it's some nasty shit, and there are some studies that say it's not helpful at all, but it's the only FDA approved treatment for Stage III melanoma. I don't want him to go through the flu-like symptoms, fatigue, weight and hair loss, and potential suicidal tendencies if it's not going to help.
And of course, I'm not going to be of much help because of the new job--it's not like I can take off unless it's super-urgent. That is making me feel like the world's worst wife.
You are a totes wonderful wife and are there while you are not at work, but I understand feeling that way. I wish good news from the scan.
Andi and Daniel, glad you're home and it wasn't more serious.
Maria, you are a great wife and you are doing literally everything you can.
Healing~ma to Daniel! Those scrubs are cute.
Maria, love, you are so hard on yourself. Takes one to know one. Be nice to you.
Healing~ma to Daniel. So glad you're able to do the outpatient thing, DJ.
Maria - you're doing great and best wishes for good results on the scan and for the treatment.
Maria you are a great wife. Being unemployed would not be better for your husband. Hope scans give best possible news.
Thanks, all. I know being unemployed would not be good, but the INF treatment is five days a week and I won't be able to take him. He's going to be depressed and weak and achy, and incapable of driving, and I can't help. His dad has said he'll move in for the first month and be his chauffeur, but he's 69 and has had his own health issues. It's a lot to deal with.
I don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to get out of dealing with the hard stuff.

Yeah, you're such a slacker. @@
