Also, re: your tag -- is there a t-shirt of that yet? Because I would buy that shirt.
I haven't seen one mentioned on QC yet, sadly. I am tempted by the "Bros! Bros! Bros!" one, but I fear it would be misinterpreted by folks at large.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

At the ballgame last night, when the jumbotron would pan the crowd (which was sparse), they would almost always stop at this group of 4 guys with crazy hats and a fake guitar who would be dancing (where "karate-punching the air" = "dancing") like crazy (except for fake-guitar guy, who was, of course, fake-playing the HELL out of his fake guitar). And every time they were on the screen, I yelled "Bros! Bros! Bros!" Which, of course, no one got.
(I didn't really like the QC bros until the library strip they were in. That cracked me up, and I decided I liked them.)
As Nora already said, this? Is awesome.
Well, as we know, my dad was made of awesome, and I always appreciate the opportunity to share that :)
I love that, Vortex.
Absolutely stealing "lip or ear?".
My thoughts are these: spiritually and karmically, I try to remember that everyone is struggling with something. But often, my baser nature overcomes and I get all vengey, especially when my friends are involved. IDK. I'd also prefer that we err on the side of support, but can understand why some people don't like the death curses. I like WindSparrow's curses, personally. They're whimsical and just.
IOmememeN, work is eating me starting with my bottom. Argh. Not bad, just busy.

Your dad was absolutely made of awesome, and I love the stories you tell about him.
Thanks, Barb!
Vortex, I love the lip or ear thing, and your dad was absolutely made of awesome.
I am so stealing the "lip or ear" remark. In fact, I think we should use it here.
Vortex's dad was made of so much awesome. I miss him too.
I like the QC bros.
I, too, get very uncomfortable at strong-criticisms-out-of-anger. I don't mind it as much here, where I feel protected by the online bubble, but I am constantly wincing when friends make what are in my opinion overly-strong statements out of frustration. Recently, a teacher friend who had inherited some documents from an older teacher (which is, after all, awesome and generous of the original teacher) was understandably annoyed that the documents were all in Comic Sans. I can see that. But his statement "I think anybody who uses Comic Sans should have their teaching licenses revoked!" made me wince. Sure, he was joking, and frustrated that he needed to change the font on all the documents to reflect his view of professionalism. But the overboard nature of the comment really hit me.
Cereal to add: his particular hatred of Comic Sans partially stems from students turning in documents that use it, again understandably, so I think he feels that a teacher using it is bad modeling. But still.
