Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Ooh, yes. Exactly that, Sail.

In other news, I'm having a stress/fibro flareup/hormone-driven attack of the "poor me's." No, nothing catastrophic has happened, but I just want to curl up in a corner and be catatonic for a week. Intellectually, I know what's going on, but that still doesn't mean I don't feel incompetent and unlovable. Work is eating me alive, and all kinds of things are slipping through the cracks.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

{{Anne}} I suffer from that far too frequently, I hope it passes quickly.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

attack of the "poor me's." No, nothing catastrophic has happened, but I just want to curl up in a corner and be catatonic for a week.

Anne, I have been feeling like that for 2 weeks. So I am right there with you. I'm on the moderately sad/empty side, and I can't quite shake it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, Epic. All sorts of ~ma to you and Domino.

Instead of being concerned at the loss of more than a quarter of his weight in a year, the vet was just glad he'd lost some weight. I'm livid about this.

I'd be furious too. Especially as Domino is part Maine Coon! Kittenish's vet was concerned when she dropped weight even though she was pudgy specifically because if you don't know what changed, their weight should NOT fluctuate like that.

Later in the day, A thanked Craig for making his wife's day. Craig asked what he did and Andy said "You walked right by my wife and you looked like Daniel Craig." Craig laughed and wanted to meet H but she was gone.

What a neat guy. Both of them, actually.

I'm sorry, Anne.

This summer has been unkinder than you generally think of summer as being for brains and bodies. Mine as well.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Anne, I hope the feeling passes soon and you are back to recognizing your fabulousness.

I just took a shower and I seem to have itty bitty bruises all over my torso and chest. Or a rash of some kind. No idea why. Oh, skin. Why must you be so sensitive? I could kind of explain the ones on my left thigh (lying on a baseball) and right torso (bracing an impact driver) but the ones on my chest are completely mysterious. Unless it's contact dermatitis brought out by my histamines getting bored and looking for something to do since I haven't gotten bitten by fire ants in a week.

Ugh, I know exactly how that feels, Anne. I hope it passes quickly for you.

Thrive to spite them

I know how that feels Anne, I hope you start feeling better.

I've been fighting a feeling of....something. But the last 2 week's in therapy left me kind of ...not battered, but just a little raw feeling. I'm glad my therapist is out of town next week.

smonster,

could you be getting stress rashes? I blame your roommate.

Kind of there, too, Anne. I hope it passes quickly for you. It's no fun.
