Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

aw, sj and Pix.

In true mememememe news, I have thrown out my lower back by... sitting! Was just sitting on the couch, and BAM, lower back spasms. Ugh.

Tom has been subdued and anxious all weekend, Taz thinks that we are in violation of the Kitty Geneva Convention, I wasted a perfectly gorgeous Sunday flat on my back, and am on edge already because of The Anniversary. I mean, it's nothing awful (invoking the PSC), but my whole brain is jangly.

Ugh- why back WHY?!?!?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Nora}}} I hope you're back feels better soon.

I am home! Mom already called to make sure I got in safely because I had a couple glasses of wine over 3 hours ago.

And I meant to say earlier, the nice thing about modern technology is that when I am feeling completely overwhelmed I can always escape for a couple of minutes to be with my buffistas which really makes everything better.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ain't that the truth?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora's back! That is Not On.

I made dinner tonight, ate it in the kitchen, then had ice cream, then washed the dishes LIKE A BOSS. Roommate did not complain. Hey, I was out of the kitchen for the night at 7:45 pm, I think that's pretty good.

Now I'm lying on a variety of balls, trying to get my hip to stop committing mutiny and taking my back with it.

sj, glad we could provide a moment of solace for you.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

What did she say about the curtain, smonster?

I"m sad because I went to the store meaning to buy mint chocolate chip klondike bars, like y'all were talking about, and I FORGOT.

I am eating a pluot instead. I"m sure that's all healthier and crap, but I want ice creamy goodness.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I feel bad for Taz, Marley's pretty much spooked by him since he returned. I'm hoping that once the neck thing comes off, Marley will accept him again... or if his surgery will forever alter how Marley sees him.

Cats identify each other primarily by scent. When Taz came home, Marley smelled all the weird vet clinic, surgical procedure recovery smells, didn't really know who the weird cat with the weird neck wear was and got freaked out. Whereas Taz did recognize Marley. If all else fails, you can re-introduce them using techniques that assist in introducing a totally new cat to the household. I.E. confine Taz to one room complete with water dish and litter box. At meal times, put the cats dishes on either side of the door to that room so that Marley gets used to associating the presence and scent of Taz with something he likes (FOOD!). Once a day, have the cats switch for about an hour, so that Marley is confined and Taz has the run of the house. This will help Marley to get used to how Taz smells now. Also once a day, put Taz in a cat carrier and set it in the middle of Marley's area so they can get safely re-acquainted. I'm guessing that this won't have to take as long as it does to get a whole new cat acclimated. Eventually Taz should start smelling like Taz again, and Marley will find him more familiar.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

If you dry-feed, you can also run your hands through the kibble and pet one cat, then kibble-ize again and pet the other cat. They both smell like good food, and you. (Humans have scent glands on their palms. We don't notice it, but when we pet an animal's fur we leave our scent behind, marking it as belonging to us. They can detect our scent on another animal)

Also, get well Frankie.

Nora's back and smonster's hip need to chill the f*** out.

sj, sorry the baby shower was excruciating. I've never been to one where wine was served (I seem to run in crowds that have theirs in church fellowship rooms). I bet the wine does help.
