[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Stupid weather. There is now flash flood or flood warnings/watches through all of the counties that were flooded from Irene.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Stay dry askye!

So in exciting news of my life, Matt went up to see a friend in the city . I sent him kitty pictures around 430/5 and he said he was almost done with his project. It is just about 7 - no sign of him . I guess that means no movie tonight. Which is just fine - and well somewhat predictable...

I'll be fine! There wasn't any flooding in my neck of the woods, but there's going to be flooding in the already damaged areas.

There's the potential for more flood damage in those areas and flooding undoing any progress made.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'll be fine! There wasn't any flooding in my neck of the woods, but there's going to be flooding in the already damaged areas.

There's the potential for more flood damage in those areas and flooding undoing any progress made.

I talked to my brother today, and he said, "Well, it's not like the restaurant can get any MORE trashed." The worst that would happen is that it would flood and they'd have to pump mud out. But just since Monday, they've gotten all the flooring and drywall and the kitchen equipment and the bar (sob) out of there, and it's pretty much already stripped down to subflooring. So if it floods again, it floods.

But I know there are places that didn't get as trashed as the Alchemist that really can't afford any more damage. Fingers crossed the floods hold off.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dear hotel person,

I asked a specific question. Try giving me a specific answer next time.

No Love,

Me

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok - Emeline has A TON of larger, paperback picture books. How the hell do you store them? On a bookshelf sucks because you can't see what the title is. Am I bound to bins? I think I am. Love books. Love that Em has so many books. HATE STORING KIDS BOOKS.

I'm baking pie for a family cookout. I'm trying a new crust made with almond meal.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I know what you mean, Aimee! We keep them on the shelves, but they disappear there until one of us pulls them out, a few at a time, to look at them.

“Not dead yet!”

How about a wall-mount rack, like for magazines? Then you can have them upright, but facing out and even staggered, so that you can see titles or covers more easily.
