Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Pfft. Having grown up in South Florida where Hurricane parties were common, I think that's a perfectly sane response.

Ditto.

Blllrgh. Why do I always forget how awful color stripper smells? (I'm prepping for bleaching some streaks in my hair, hence color stripper.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"color stripper" - I had no idea what that meant until the parens.

I just figured you went to a bad club.

Ahahahaha! No. All to do with wacky hair chemicals.

I wonder how many rounds of bleach I'm going to have to do to get the streaks close to white?

Dear smonster & roommate's kitten: GO HOME. You want to stay with Frankie!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Kitten~ma, come on baby, come back where you are loved.

Thrive to spite them

Parts of Vermont are under a Tropical Storm Watch. So far it looks like Norther Vermont (my part) is under high wind and flash flood warnings. So there's still the chance of power outages. I don't have to worry about flooding - the apartment is in a house that's on a long steep hill.

I know everyone is really tired of crappy weather but I feel really bad for the farmers in Vermont they've been hit hard by the spring flooding and all the rain. Then there was a long dry spell and now this.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My bro, in Central(ish) Vermont (I'm not sure if where he lives is considered the Smugglers' Notch region), used some astonishingly profane language -- even for him, which is saying something, given that he normally sounds like Eminem in a Mamet play -- regarding the possibility of tropical storm-level winds in Vermont.

Thrive to spite them

I feel really bad for the smaller farmers in Vermont. This winter Will had customers who were making plans to upgrade machinery and stuff and now they are holding off. The flooding screwed everything up, hay didn't get mowed in time. Corn didn't get planted soon enough. So there's an issue of the quality of food and also if there's enough.

Right now driving around you'd think it was Iowa with all the corn fields. And it's all (or almost all) going to feed. But some farmer's maybe looking at buying feed for their cows because they couldn't produce enough of their own.

Will really knows corn. It's amazing, we'll be driving around at 50 mph and he can tell how mature corn is or if different types have been planted in one field. And if it's sweet corn or feed corn.
