Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{Nora}}} That’s so much. I’m sorry, honey.

In personal news, I need sympathy. I am in an enormous amount of pain. I’m pretty sure I have 2nd degree burns on the back of my thighs from an unfortunate combination of poor sunscreen application and a frantic call from a friend in crisis that caused me to lose track of time and stay on my stomach for two hours in the direct sun. The only reason they haven’t blistered is because I’ve been applying a lot of aloe vera consistently since Sunday afternoon. The first 12 hours hurt a lot. The second 12 sucked. Now my skin is tightened so much that sitting makes me want to cry, and I’m kind of a mess. And I have to commute. t /whine t /whimper

“Not dead yet!”

Pix, have you got the cooling aloe with lidocaine?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, Pix. That's miserable.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I second the aloe/lidocaine recommendation. Skin pain really sucks. So sorry, Pix.

Thanks guys. I just have pure aloe. It’s been so so long since I’ve had a bad sunburn I don’t even know what’s on the market.

Oh yeah, get yourself some Solarcaine, or aloe with lidocaine. Very key. And keep it in the fridge.

Also take NSAIDS, because they will anti-inflame your skin just like your pain!

I have been taking big doses of Advil, so at least I’m doing something right. Sorry to be so whiny. It’s just been a whole lot of ow.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Aww, I'm sorry, Pix. Sunburn is no fun. I hope it heals up quickly.

Our wings are not tired.

Pix, in the past, I've poured vinegar over my sunburns. Supposedly you're supposed to do it right away, but who knows, it still might work. I'm sorry anout the burns.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Aloe with any of the 'caines. Kept in the fridge helps even further but the anesthetic is really the key when you're in such pain. Or a spray with a 'caine. The propellants make those feel cold as well.
