Ahahahahaha. (files under New Orleans and Seattle: differences between)
Nora, you'll appreciate how hard I was giggling today at breakfast with some friends as they were grumbling about breaking 80 degrees over the weekend and its attendant mugginess.
Jilli, go with the pale pink fishnets.
Ahahahahaha.
I was just mentally complaining to the weatherpeople that 97 is not part of the "low 90s."
Ooh, that would be fun! Note: September is still summertime.
I'm trying to get him to sweet-talk his bosses into flying me in as a guest.
EEEEEEE!!!!! That would be so awesome.
Ahahahahaha.
Indeed. I occasionally get cold in my house, which I keep at 78. Two weeks after I moved here, I walked outside on an evening that had dropped to 76 and I got chill bumps. No lie.
Nora, I'm making red beans and rice! On a Monday! Relatedly, have you cooked any of the Hollygrove rice? How long and what proportion of water?
I'm thinking black skirts (with petticoats, because I don't hide who I am), black sleeveless (yet high-collar) blouse, pink blazer with narrow black stripes, hair pulled back, glasses. And makeup, but that's a given. What do you folks think?
I think it's a great outfit. And possibly black microweave because those bruises are spectacular and pale pink will only make them more noticeable. With black they might not even be seen.

I have another giant bruise on the other leg. And new claw marks from Erzabet using me as a climbing toy.
I agree about going with the black tights.
I think I brought a virus home from the animal shelter and gave it to Dean. Maddie doesn't seem effected but then she doesn't seem to have problems with most things.
Dean hasn't been getting into any weird food. I did slack off with his probiotics but I've got him back on them. But this seems too serious too quickly for it to be that.
I had to give him a bath-- at least bath his hindquarters. I think I'm going to skip volunteering tomorrow and try and find a vet to see him.

It's a 2 parts water to 1 part rice, bring to boil, drop to simmer, simmer 25 minutes, take off heat and rest for another 10 minutes.
YUM, red beans! You using Camellia or Blue Runner beans?
