Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
This is what I don't get-- they've been in business for twenty-five years, they're an AmEx approved agency-- it's not as if I didn't do my due diligence and yet at the same time, I can't help but feel as if I fucked up miserably. The last we heard, they were trying to get them on the same flight they would have been on last night, but leaving tomorrow night, which means they'd lose two days of their visit with their grandparents, since they've got other visitors coming in from out of town right after the kids leave.
Good thing Lewis and I didn't have any plans to go out of town while the kids were gone. Not that the travel agency is aware of that-- if necessary, I will get my best Meryl Streep on and give them some DRAHMA.
Also, every time I see OKC I think Oklahoma City, but that one is probably just me.
Not just you. Though I did meet my OKC (Oklahoma City) boy on OKC (OK Cupid)...
smonster, dude, your boy is adorable!! I love seeing you looking so happy. And yay for a good first day at work!
Barb, good lord, that is inexcusable. Zen's advice is spot-on.
Yay for first day of work, and for policies!
Having just done the "put kid on plane by himself" thing, it's difficult enough without a third party screwing things up. I hope they both figure out that they should fix it and then fix it.
Anyone who cares, want to take a look at some possible banners for websites? [link]
This is for a version of Innocentive (or challenge.gov - basically you post a wicked problem, someone solves it, and you give them an award). The app is called Spark, and the companion blog is called The Fuze.
And because it deserves its own happy post, free of my crankiness, YAY, smonster for good first days!
Oh wise and powerful buffistas. Grant me the strength not to post "Next time the dirty dishes are going in your bed." on Facebook. Amen.
Raq I really love the contrastiness of the orange.
First day of work is going great! Meeting people and reading policies. THEY HAVE POLICIES. This is exciting to me. Compared to, you know, That Other Place.
Matt said he met you. I told him to be nice.
I am not in the mood for work today, thank you very much.
What do they think travel agencies do?
I love this question. Barb, you did not fuck up. Don't feel guilty. THEY fucked up. Guilt them to death about the lost 2 days with grandparents and how you had to forego your plans over this mishap.
They don't have to know your plans included painting your toenails and running around the house in babydoll pajamas. Plans are plans.
Oh my sweet zombie Jesus--
NOW they're trying to blame my mother-in-law for not noticing that the card had only been charged for one ticket.
We booked these tickets two weeks ago on her card. She hasn't actually received her statement yet. The only reason she was able to confirm that the card had only been charged once was because she went online and pulled up the transactions.
My hair is absolutely standing on end y'all.
What the hell? Are you sure you're not the target of some new Candid-Camera-esque reality show?
And now a distracting pleasure. XDress Probably not safe for work. I haven't seen the whole site but it's men in lingerie.
