Sweetie, we're crooks. If everything were right, we'd be in jail.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That is wicked cool!

It was! Emmett was all, "I saw a famous person!"

The best though was talking with the record store clerks at the register.

Me: "Hey, did you see Mick Jones from the Clash?!"
Clerk 1: "Yup, saw him going in."
Clerk 2: "What!?! I totally didn't see him."
Me: "Pinstriped suit. Big stack of vinyl. He went into the movie section."
Clerk 2: [cranes neck to see around to Movies]
Clerk 3: "Dibs! I got dibs when he comes to pay."

Our wings are not tired

Naw, that one already aired a while back. This one has Sam going to a mental institution.

Ah yes. Jeanette was talking about filming that episode on the Nick cruise.

Oh jeez, if I knew you were hanging out with Jeanette McCurdy I'd be hitting you up for autographs and other things you're probably not allowed to do.

Depending on quality of vision or distance from screen you either see Albert Einstein or Marilyn Monroe.

They had a bouncy house and Emmett (as usual) was the free entertainment for a crowd of 5 year olds. There was much food including a selection of tamales.

I suddenly have this vision of Emmett being in that Hyperbole and a Half small girls as wolves story...

I'm sure I'll see her again on the next cruise. I will try to get some for you. Jeanette and Nathan as well as a bunch of the cast of Victorious were on the cruise I just did.

Yep, he's that guy. Fortunately these children were less wolfpack and more manic monkey.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I love Emmett as young child jungle gym.

Probably another early night tonight- but smonster, we must celebrate soon!

Definitely. I'm thinking about next Saturday, depending on what people have going on. I've realized that I've missed my chance to have a party at my place for a while - Roomie is working every day for the next three months!

Man, even though I was up all Friday night, and "rumped" from drinking out on the river for four hours, and could barely keep my eyes open through Justified (I never fall asleep watching tv), I *still* had trouble falling asleep. It ended up StW in his bed, Frankie on the loveseat, and me on a comforter on the floor. ::sigh:: Man, I hope work solves this problem. Otherwise I am going to have to go get some kind of prescription. But I did finally get to sleep, thank heavens.

I told StW last night, "The more time I spend with you, the more I like you." We passed some important relationship milestones yesterday - he drove my car and we got "lost" trying to find our meetup spot for the trip (a Starbucks that has long been a Sucre). No heads were bitten off and I remained relatively calm while he adjusted to my car's clutch. Plus, I told him about B coming to town and he was like, "That's fine, whatever, I don't do jealousy." Which, uh, also means I can still kiss Buffistas! I told him he could, too.

Today is: grocery shopping, laundry and card making, then HP7.2 with Roomie!! And prepping for the day tomorrow. I'm vacillating between "Yay, job!!" and "Oh, crap, I have to go to work every day now!"

Jilli, what's the trajectory supposed to be like for your recovery? Is it just entirely up in the air?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My hip is feeling better enough today that I was able to do some cooking. Nothing fancy -- scrambled tofu with mushrooms, and some brussels sprout and potato hash, all made with pre-cut veggies -- but it's actual food, not the "What can I eat that won't require me to stand up for more than a minute?" stuff I was having yesterday.
