I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Buffy ,'Lessons'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That calendar shot is TOTALLY a centerfold in waiting. How gorgeous is he?!

Yes indeed!

“Not dead yet!”

I love my life right now, and I love even more that I can say that. Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose.

OMG, this made me teary, too. Combined with the squeeing and bouncing, it was quite the site. The dogs think I'm possessed. Or want to play with them.

Steph, nothing ~ma for the Hell Hound.

And Todd, ease ~ma on the cataracts.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dag, I can't wait to see pictures of Todd in her sexy sexy eye-patch. Feel free to wear a bandolier or tricorn too, Todd!

Art Crawl!!!

Kato rocks! Whether in the adorable headcock pose or as a hound from hell.

Totally - a star.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I GOT THE JOB OMG

Congratulations, smonster! You rock!

Tep, I hope it's nothing with Kato and easily found to be such.

He's very handsome. Unless he's the devil dog and then he's skeeeeeery. Ish.

Just found out he has a raging bladder infection... but at least no crystals that need to be removed, so that's good news. They think he can come home tomorrow.

Oh, poor Taz and poor you.

And I'm no dummy when it comes to drugs. I get that it can cause dependence, but if it's helping a legitimate medical condition, and the patient is okay with possible dependence, then who the fuck cares?

Sort of like how I will never be able to live comfortably without allergy and asthma meds. Not even just in the PNW, really anywhere. But there are effective drugs and I'll accept that I need to take them. Dependence? Well, I kinda depend on breathing.

Steph, that is a fucking miracle, and I am in awe of it.

Dude, what Jilli said.

Sleep, mmm, sleep. I am amazed the nights that I get really good sleep. I feel like a totally different person.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching some movie from the early eighties in which Kristy McNichol has to wear an ankle brace, and although her character has supposedly been wearing this brace for years, she still gets all bothered and flustered and simply cannot deal with the embarrassment of some taking a second glance at it or asking why she wears it. So she gets a doctor to put a fake cast on her leg, and she goes to a ski resort, where she'll fit in with all the injured skiers and won't be different. This is possibly the stupidest disability-related plot I've ever seen.

I suggest bedazzling. Or Eye of Sauron. Or a bedazzled Eye of Sauron.

So, despite not going to the grocery store, I managed to concoct quite the yummy Thai-influenced stir fry. From my Hollygrove Market basket I used: fairy eggplant, microgreens, Thai basil, button mushrooms (my shitakes went bad, boo), and Biscayne peppers. The sauce had soy sauce, brown sugar (also from Hollygrove), lime juice (Hollygrove) rice vinegar, fresh ginger, and peanut butter. I stirfried chicken with pepper flakes and garlic, then added the veggies and the sauce. The microgreens and basil went in last.

I am AWESOME. I did not go out to eat to celebrate and I used stuff that would have gone bad. Woo freaking hoo.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose.

This made me teary. I almost bought the shirt. Congrats and yays, smonster!

Dependence? Well, I kinda depend on breathing.

Oh, yes, I have this shameful dependence on breathing and sleeping! I'm really fond of moving without back and hip pain, too. The only reason I'm sticking with my neglectful psychiatrist and his unavailable staff is that he gives me Valium without giving me any grief about it. Valium is the only thing I've found that solves three problems at once: anxiety, muscle spasm pain, and sleeplessness.* I don't want to have to fight with another doctor over meds I've already tried.

*Yes, it does seem that all three problems come down to anxiety, doesn't it? Especially since no doctor has ever found anything wrong with my back except for an old injury that healed years ago without me ever even being aware of a problem.

Speaking of meds, I'm not taking Wellbutrin anymore, and I have some left. What do I do with it?

See? Awesome!

Anxiety is a real problem though. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was leading to more physically obvious problems like insomnia and back pain. Mine can, without a doubt.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Congratulations, smonster!
