I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am waiting for Jilli to do it first so I can get tips. Then I'm going to use Zoya's Marley and maybe early Anne Rice and call it "Ghost in the Snow" mani.

Brilliant! I think it's a gorgeous manicure, would love to try it.

IONailN, I am wearing Zoya Jem and it indeed quite similar to Yasmeen, but with more golden sparkle. It's very pretty.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I got a Wella actually, and shall see how it turns out later tonight! Fire red or some such.

I have brows waxed, bought a whopping box of Kosher salt for cooking and scrubs at the bodega for $2.50 and plan in dyeing, scrubbing, shaving, moisturizing and charcoal-masking tonight. (Origins Charcoal mask is the One True Mask for me, and lasts for years, since I am so lax about masking. Exfoliating, yes. Masking, no.)

Then a haircut later this week, and I'm set for a date to finally get head shots for my business stuff! I LIKE the pix I have now, but it's pretty casual (shot in a bar, though I cropped it pretty well.)

I needed to do the wax and hair for pix, but man, I've been so not maintaining myself being at home and without car, and I feel really schlubby.

I also want to play around with vlogging, so...need to look competent and put-together. (Also need to wear bra and pants for that. Although my hits might skyrocket if I didn't...)

One of these days, I swear. Ooooh, maybe I'll wait for the OPI Halloween collection toncome out next week, and get the glow-in-the-dark polish for the base.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oooh, use something like Frankenstein for the text.

I just sampled the Possett's Mary Shelley and I kinda am liking it in the first two minutes, so I am pro horror right now.

G-D it. I was at the park with friends and dogs, and stood on a G-D fire ant bed, and now I have a bunch of stings on my feet. I took Benedryl, but OMG THE ITCHING THE ITCHING. I hate those little fuckers. And yet, I refuse to wear closed toe shoes in the summer.

I lied, unintentionally -- I'm using L'Oreal Intense for Dark Hair. Yeah, so my natural color is brownish, but I figure if it gives a good bright red to Latina or African-American hair, it might deliver the intense color I want. And the box said it could be used on relaxed hair, and relaxed hair can be awfully fragile, so it shouldn't wreck mine.

And damn, y'all -- it was the REDDEST dye I have ever seen! Nosebleed looking. My super duper kitchen cleaning gloves are stained (couldn't find the friggin' PACK of thin latex gloves I bought 2 months ago for painting and dyeing.

20 minutes and I'll know. I bet the bathtub is gonna look totally Dexterfied!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

smonster, the Benadryl cream helps a lot more than the pills for fire ants stings, I've found.

Also soaking your feet in cool water with baking soda in it helps.

Don't have cream but I have some gel. Baking soda not helping, vinegar not helping, tried Nature's Miracle on the premise that it would break down proteins, maybe helped a little? Next up - using a hair dryer to heat up my skin. I'm think I might be getting itchy in other places, but I can't tell if that's just psychosomatic or if I'm starting to have a full-body reaction.
