I'm feeling like a coward.

I tweeted about the debt vote to O's address, but then deleted it. Honestly, what I said wasn't particularly inflammatory, just sad, but I had this image of UNIT crashing through the windows and taking me out.

That's the sad thing I guess.

I think I'm twitchy over being an ex-activist who, at one time had to be very careful. My phones were tapped for years during RR's regime.

A friend, driving into Salvador saw my photo on a 'to be stopped' list. "If you had been here," he said, "it would have been really bad."

At first I thought it was funny, then it just seemed creepy.

It's been so long since I've done anything worthy of scrutiny...and just saying that makes me feel a bit of a failure...that I shouldn't be worried anymore.

I've been spinning my wheels lately and needing to do something while I'm job searching. I had turned in an application to the Humane Society to volunteer and never heard back so I finally emailed the person I was in contact with, who told me to email someone else, and she said she never got my application.

But I'm volunteering starting tomorrow Tuesdays-Thursdays for a couple of hours, mostly cleaning cages and walking dogs. I don't have a ton of experience with dogs but there's a training session they'll do . And I just have to fill out the application tomorrow when I get there.

And I got a letter from my old car insurance company about a $200 check they sent and I never got so now they are going to send me another one. Found money. Kinda.

Plus I'm filling out an application to volunteer at the library. I'm there often enough that when I went to pick up my interlibrary loans I didn't even have to ask. I also donated books from this giant stash I got from Freecycle. It's an interesting mix of histories, mysteries, women's history, stuff about raising daughters, literary fiction. Plus I found The Secret AND The Idiot's Guide to The Secret. Those I'm tossing. I don't normally believe in throwing out books but I don't want to inflict The Secret on anyone.

I must be in the minority. I found skyline chili to look like baby #2, and taste nasty.

AHAHAHAHA!! Idiot's Guide to The Secret- a redundancy if I've ever heard one.

Isn't the Secret just positive thinking? I mean...can you dumb it down more than that?

Well the Idiot's Guide is longer than The Secret itself.

It's sort of positive thinking but it's the right kind of positive thinking. The kind that has been SECRET for many years and you have to do things to make sure you get the right Attraction. Or something.

I just turned to a page at random of the Secret. Did you know that all the great inventions (lightbulb,film, telephone) happened because of the Secret?

It's true "The only way anything has ever been invented or created is because one person saw a picture in his mind. He saw it clearly, and by holding that picture of the end result in his mind, all forces of the Universe brought his invention into the world, through him."

And see I thought it was a lot of hard work, trial and error, research and stuff like that.

Also according to the Idiot's Guide saying that you Need something makes you, well, needy and the Universe doesn't like that. The Universe likes it better when you WANT something because then you can take it or leave it and the Universe rewards that kind of thinking.
