I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't think it's that common to have defined salary bands in the private sector anyway, but even where there are I think it would rarely be disclosed.

That aside, it sounds like a shitty situation. Are you able to talk to someone and make exactly that case? "Here are my last five years of reviews, here's where I am in the range; it's intensely demoralizing and I'd like to know what I can do to change things."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Many corporations use some version of the Hay System, which assigns a midpoint and range to job classifications. You're not really in a position to schmooze someone in HR, though.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The Hay System sounds like what we use.

I shouldn't bother complaining, I guess. My skill set includes being good at English grammar and spelling, being able to work with difficult people, and being organized and competent. I don't have any specific skills that are any good in the marketplace. I doubt I could get anything significantly better than this.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Seconding Teppy on the doc visit rec, Raq. Wonky taste sense often equals infection (sinus or dental or something else in the region).

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Seeing StW definitely improved my mood. Also, the PMS should be waning, and I sent my resume out to a few places tonight. I'm proud of staying productive despite my shitty mood the last couple of days.

Way to go! You should definitely be proud of yourself. *waves pompoms*

Did I mention SCOTLAND?! With Shir?!

Oh man, SO JEALOUS!!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Did I mention SCOTLAND?! With Shir?!

Oh man, SO JEALOUS!!

It does sound fabulous! Where in Scotland? I loved Scotland.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Scotland with Shir! How delightful!! If you do see Ianto, you must kidnap him and send him to me.

Zen, that is super frustrating. It certainly sounds like you should be making more.

My landlord is on his way over to change out the ceiling fan and fix a couple of other things! Yay!

I slept a long time last night. I guess I'm still catching up on sleep. My ex-coworker to whom I sent my resume last night had, within 15 minutes, sent it out to three different organizations I'm interested in. One contact has already responded positively and forwarded my resume to the ED. Yay for networking!

I have a buttload of errands to run and need to decide if I'm making dinner for StW or letting him take me out.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Just confirmed: The Girl and I are going to Scotland in August - WITH SHIR!

That paints me doubly jealous. Or is it envious. Maybe both.

Last night, for first time in forever, I was asleep before midnight. Got home around 8:30, ate dinner, started watching the news. Passed out. Woke up around 4am, headed to bed, slept until about 8. I'm guessing the move was stressing me more than I realized. With it done, sleep happened. Thank doG! Plus, exhaustion from the whole moving day thing. Ok, back to unpacking. Joy. Rapture.
