Happy anniversary, Barb!

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I just tried signing up to become a bone marrow donor, and the site says that people with chronic back, neck, or hip pain don't qualify to donate. I feel useless. (My little cousin has cancer.)
Happy anniversary, Barb & Lewis!
Job~ma, Maria!
I'm sure someone here is interested in this.
Hil, you are not useless. You are getting the word out! That is HUGE!
I'm also trying to figure out how to pack efficiently for myself. I'm thinking a couple of neutral skirts and shorts, tank tops, and 1 pair of jeans and a hoodie. I am not, nor have I ever been, an efficient packer. I'm reading blogs and columns on how to survive in Europe for a month on two pairs of underwear and a sarong.
Don't include a "Time for some thrillin' heroics" shirt - turns out guns on your shirt, even cartoon guns, make them twitchy. (inside joke that I think only Toddson and Sparky will get)
When packing for motorcycle trips with very limited cargo space, I have had to learn the value of quick-dry fabrics. Something like this: [link] I wear it all day, then rinse and hang it at the hotel and change into a nicer shirt for dinner. It's dry by the next morning. I can get by for a week with three of these (so I don't have to wash stuff every night), a "nicer" shirt and a sweater or hoodie.
And thanks some more for the good wishes, all. So far it's been a very low-key ordinary day-- (no extravagant gifts for us since a) we're replacing our deck and b) we're saving for next year which will be HAWAII.)
In different news, I find myself somewhat bemused by the fact that I'm researching hairpieces and extensions so I can do my hair properly for next week's ballroom competition. (And Jilli, my smooth gown is cupcake pink.)
Okay. I tried to make one phone call, it was too late in the day. Made another one, got an unsatisfactory result. Two more to go. Blecch.
Happy anniversary, Barb!
I just wish someone would tell them that it's "Prix fixe" not "Prefix"
I saw a post elsewhere from someone who was knitting a blanket with "Doctor Who motives."
