Wash: Don't fall asleep now. Sleepiness is weakness of character. Ask anyone. You're acting captain. Know what happens you fall asleep now? Zoe: Jayne slits my throat, and takes over. Wash: That's right. Zoe: And we can't stop it.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

So, I bought two bras. I'm thinking I need to enjoy my new, pregnancy-enhanced boobs before they become sore and well-used. Which I don't mind, but I won't be thinking sexy bras at the time.

ION, have I mentioned that I look like Voldemort? Both eyes are now red, although the one is way less puffy and oozy and is just red and slightly puffy. This conjunctivitis is the sickest I've been since I had mono. No joke. I have done nothing but lay on the coach since Tuesday.

Thrive to spite them

Please remind me I need to step away from Facebook and not keep responding to my cousin's post that's happy there are Planned Parenthood clinics closing in Texas.

This won't end well, I won't change her mind or her husbands and they won't change mine.

And they don't make comments on my political posts so I shouldn't make comments on theirs.

Actually I just went and deleted my comments. Which I think is the better thing.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Glam, what's the deal? they want you to sign up to see it.

There are a bunch of styles at over 50% off.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So if I, as the minority, have to be the one to educate the minority, I will have to do it ad inifinitum. I may be the only minority the majority person has ever encountered, but I have encountered many many of her.

It's nowhere NEAR the same sort of thing, but I'm in a similar space. I have pretty much set myself up as the spokesperson for Goth, and yet, there are times when I get tired of explaining the same thing over and over, having to tell people that I'm not wearing a costume, and no, they can't touch me, please stop.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yes, this. I have zero interest in educating every stranger I meet on disability or to the their children who they send over to ask me question. People can ask really personal things, and I'd rather live my life and not think about any of it any more than I absolutely have to.

Oh Nonian, so sorry you're still sick! Yeesh! Immune system, activate!

Please remind me I need to step away from Facebook and not keep responding to my cousin's post that's happy there are Planned Parenthood clinics closing in Texas.

oof. I'm so glad I don't have hardly any friends or relatives on FB who post that kind of thing (a few of them are definitely way more conservative than I am, but they tend not to post political things)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's a life, not teaching material. Treating it otherwise is continual othering, and can be quite rude.

not your mom's socks.

Agreed, Kate. Well said, ita.

ION, for sprog moms, TD bank is doing a summer reading promotion that puts $10 in your child's savings account if the child reads 10 books. Plus they have great, free coin counting. HKF is now a penny-hunting machine, plus happy to double up her reading program swag from both the library and the bank.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I have helped a friend move, gotten a temp library card and checked out two books, and am back home. I did *not* stop by the library book sale, or check out all the cool shops near my friend's new place, yay me. I need to vacuum out my car and do a million other things, but since I didn't sleep well last night, I think a nap may have to come first.
