Weird dream geography. I was living in Miami, a three minute drive from Buenos Aires, and 15 minutes from Morocco. In response to this, Miami had developed its own unique cuisine, a blend of Moroccan, Cuban and Argentinian cooking called "Al Miamisimo".
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I suppose HypoFuBoy could be a superhero's sidekick whose weapons are hypodermic needles....
Feel better, Nonian, and take it as easy as you can.
I have the general idea and placement for my next four tattoos. Owl on left shoulder, tree (possibly live oak) on back, photorealistic lifesize luna moth on right thigh, fleur de lis with hammer and crowbar on left inner forearm.
In happy happy news, my sister got an official offer for the company she's been temping for! Yahoo, full-time permanent job with 401K and health insurance! And possibly more importantly, enough money to work towards moving out of the parents' house!
Yay, smonster's sister!
Yay for health insurance - may be better.
And something for Shir.

That sounds really good

It's about g-d time.
Yay sister of smonster!
My next tattoo will be a swallow (or possibly two) from the Lily frescos of Thera: [link] I'm currently planning on putting it at the top of my left arm, just below the shoulder.

Yanno, some of that really isn't that far off-- a lot of Cuban cooking is simply Spanish cooking adopted to the Caribbean environs-- and since the Moors had such an influence on Spanish cuisine a lot of that came over to the island. In fact, black beans and white rice is more colloquially known as "Moros y Cristianos" (literally Moors and Christians). (Which is different from congrí, which is when the rice and beans are cooked together.)
