I've loved seeing them become your pets. Funny how that happens.
Well, I always had pets growing up, so when we got together I was thrilled that Tim had the critters. And they're totally mine, now, definitely. I remember the first time we were going through the monthly bills, and there was a vet bill in there, and I asked what the amount was so that I could pay half. And he said, "You don't have to," and paused, at which point I said, "Like hell I don't. They're MINE now, too. I buy them food, the cats hairball on my stuff, and Chloe is leaning on me right now. I would be a jerk to not pay half their vet bills."
Tim still is the only one to clean the catboxes, though, because it makes my lungs collapse.

Not everyone would do that.
Not everyone would do that.
Really? I mean, now that you say it, I guess yeah, I'm sure there are people who wouldn't. But it never occurred to me not to.
Maybe she did not mean it like that. She has not been back in bitches then, maybe she will explain when she returns. And if she did not mean it as it is being taken that would explain why it would not occur to her return to explain further. At any rate I hope we can wait until returns and explains before building up too much anger.
On reread, a couple of things I missed:
Now, the part where Insurance!Agent told me about my co-worker's medical claim, and named her? Pretty sure that IS a big ol' violation of HIPAA.
Yes, it absolutely is. There is no way it isn't. Signed, had HIPAA training every year
I need to hang out in bars more. In New Orleans. When I'm not pregnant.
We can definitely make that happen! It was a small bar, I will note - maybe 20 people in there, max.
You go, beth. That is seriously impressive.
OMFG, Tep, that is crazy-insane-stupid. I hope you get him fired, and that's never anything I say lightly.
bonny, I know you'll miss your pup, but he'll be ok, and so will you, m'dear,
ION: M. got here today!! Woo! Poor little guy got up at 4 am to get on the flight, and we went to breakfast, Target and Hy-Vee.
He's 9 now, and I can TOTALLY see the prepubescent attitude starting to flare up, but he's just testing boundaries, and I actually had a pretty good convo with his mom about it, and we seem to be on the same page about backing each other up when he tried to play the "I can't do this/I always do this" card.
But it's all normal stuff, and he's SO EXCITED to be here. Dan and I took turns scratching his back and reading a Susan Cooper book to him, and he is zonked.
I'm wiped, too, as I was up working on shit til 5:30am and got up at 8am.
Aw, Erin, it's so cool to see you excited about M's arrival.
Truly, you are teh bomb.

That's huge progress!! And so key, too. Have fun with M!
Yay for M, and yay for Susan Cooper books!
I just disabled my OKC account again. No more skeevy messages with poor spelling, at least I hope for a while!
