You know, I've saved lives. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. I reattached a girl's leg. Her whole leg. She named her hamster after me. I got a hamster. He drops a box of money, he gets a town.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh good christ, Kristin.

Um. Huh? I was just joining the chorus of people saying they’d ended up with their rebounds. Why am I being singled out? I have to say that felt a bit like a smack in the face first thing in the morning. I hope that’s not what you meant.

Unrelatedly, Connie, I'm so glad you are okay. Heart stuff is so scary.

My gram is doing better. She did have a heart attack last week and also has has gall bladder disease, which at 98 is a tough thing to fix. She is in a nursing home this week recovering and then will hopefully be able to come home. She will have to wait a couple of months to let her heart recover enough to have the surgery if they decide to do it. I'm at my mom's currently, so I've been able to visit with her every day. It's been good.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Count me among those not getting Trudy's post.

Connie, so glad you went and that you're okay.

Glad you've been able to visit your gram, Pix.

Oh, the New Orleans fun that was had today!

Yeah, that was a fun party. And I managed not to be hungover today! More people got in the pools after you left, btw.

St. Woot is a very nice fella, btw. Not that I had any doubt. But I enjoyed his company mightily.

Awww. He really liked you and Tom, too. He was also impressed by your super-intelligent beer discussion. K's T made of point of telling me that he thinks I should keep StW. I was like, I'm working on it! Thanks in large part to y'all, I'm back to just enjoying his company and affection. Man, he's such a sweetie. He stayed over and we went to Slim Goodies this morning.

Okay, I need to try and do a couple of things and then it's off to go watch the World Cup! Woo hoo!

not your mom's socks.

sj - I think the transitions bothered me. There were good scenes. They just didn't hang together. And I got picky with procedural details, and then I couldn't get un-picky, even by reminding myself it was Bond and leeway was required. I'll watch the next one though.

That's understandable. It's been a while since I have seen it, and maybe it wouldn't work as well on re-watch. But with Bond I am mostly able to just turn off my brain and enjoy the fun.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

In the continuing PT saga. I called my PCP on Thursday about the PT issue and left a brief message about my concerns. Instead of calling me back to discuss it further, she left me a voicemail yesterday saying that she spoke to my PT and could I please call her back. That's it, no information about what was discussed, which makes me incredibly nervous. Hopefully I can actually talk to my PCP before my appointment on Tuesday with the PT so that I know what the conversation consisted of.

sj, it's not necessarily bad that your doctor didn't give you more information. In the age of HIPAA, doctors are wary about leaving messages that have PHI (personal health information).
